Recently, I have been getting a lot of e-mails redirecting me to account-login-blizzard and telling me to input my username and password, because my accout was "Being sold or traded". I click on the link, and the web browser tells me the website is a forgery, just wanted to make sure i'm not the only one getting these emails, the names of the senders change too, first it was WoWAccountAdmin@blizzard then it was that again, but all in lowercase, then it was noreply@blizzard and they all pointed me to the same link, so be on the lookout if you REALLY love your WoW account, I don't actually have mine activated right now, but I do want to keep it and leave it there for later.
If you really love your WoW account, you make sure it's a legit site.
It's not hard to figure out.
If you are REALLY smart, you IGNORE the E-mail then just go to blizzards official site if it says someone changed your password and look if its changed, also you can easily tell what is what if you inspect a real blizzard E-mail then a fake one...
Thats just it, i've never had but one REAL Blizz email, that was like a year ago so I was just making sure
or you could put in a load of random fake logins, and laugh at them

That too is allowed, unless they use some script thing.
Anyone knows the site where these wow scammers gather now? since mmowned shut its scamming section down.
If you get in the email lists, you will get spammed by them, i get 4-5 emails every day.

god forbid script things!
But yeah, 99.99999999% of those mails are fake, and if you do get one, it's also fake!
Here's a special thing.
Blizz only contacts you in email and it's no reply backs.
They usually communicate through the Log in Login and the pre-launcher or whatever the fuck it's called.
My safety has always been not clicking links in emails. :P
I just ignore anything that mentions sites and stick with talking to Guildies.. Problem solved.
funny thing is it's from noreply@blizzard.com
says my US account has to be verified.
what the fuck man I only have an account in europe
All the bullshit comes from www.mpcforum.com or www.d3scene.com nowadays.

I do that when I'm incredibly bored. I know, I'm sad.
Just don't reply too them, blizzard usually never send you emails unless you actually have a problem and that problem is relevant, if so; I would call billing support just to be sure.

This, it only takes a little bit of common sense.
I click on the sites on my ipod, I dont even play anymore though. I'm thinking of coming back, and I've been getting an e-mail like every day saying my account is in jeopardy of being banned or i need to verify. They are always fake, and cant do shit since it's on ipod.

Gmail Spam Box
Aion spam on a account nothing-related to it. And i remember making a comment not long ago in GD in a thread about scam mails with even more (different) mails from always the same bots
Anyway, i don't even use Gmail for WoW, i use Apple MobileMe for "serious" stuff instead
Sorry, you need to Log In to post a reply to this thread.
