Yep, they made a hitchhikers guide game...and its an text adventure like zork
made in 1984, and based on the books, its plot is the same as the book.

Your Arthur Dent, who's planet, earth was destroyed by Vogons, he was saved by his friend Ford Prefect, who is not from earth, but is an "Betelgeusian", who was on earth to write about it, for the guide,
Now you join with the heart of gold to find the lost planet of "Magrathea".

This game was pretty cool, although difficult as hell.
Thought this was about the last HHGTTG (Huh Huh Gee Tee Tee Gee) made by Douglas Adams.
My Dad had the exact copy of the game you posted in the OP, it still had everything apart form the "Don't Panic" button, and that should be somewhere around the house.
He sold it to a friend of mine for £20.

Great book series. Tried the game about a year ago, died by the bulldozer a few times then quit. I'll give it another go.
