• I want to move my games to my other Account

so recently i had my main account banned with all my games on it. i still have an alt, the thing im wanting to do is move all the games i have to my alt in order for me to play them without uninstalling them all, plus i have games like garry's mod and dead rising 2 which i bought over steam. how can i get these games over without having to waste another 120 pounds to be able to play them all again? (User was banned for this post ("Seak Steam support, not here [Jimbomcb]" - Craptasket))
You can't, use your current account. I'm still surprised you were stupid enough to fall for the scam in the first place, migrating to another account won't work.
You can't, use your current account.
what am i just after saying
you can't, you're banned and that's it.
Nope.
so ill have to uninstall them all and reinstall them. ok better add to the christmas list
...what
You got banned, your fault.
You can't :lost:
...what
reinstall the games i have discs for and rebuy the games i bought over steam
You don't have to reinstall, it uses archives called ".gcf" files, buy the games again on the other account.
meaning if i hit purchuse it just sends the game over to the other account if it recognises its on the same computer
No, you'll have to put the .gcf files into your new account folders.
so... the games show up in library?
I'm really not sure what you're trying to do; but if you're effectively trying to transfer the ownership of your games, it is impossible to do that, and the very slim chance you had with the support team is pretty much vanished due to the fact that your account is VAC banned (or so, if I understood correctly -- if it is just "banned", then the actual term is "disabled").
so... the games show up in library?
No, you're still going to have to buy the games.. this method just makes them install quicker. [editline]15th December 2010[/editline] Why were you banned anyway?
aw for god sake. im spending too much bloody money this christmas. its basically paying a hundred pounds for me to play games i already own and have on my computer [editline]15th December 2010[/editline] but wait what if i was to put ALL the folders into the new account folder. including the content, applications and other files
Don't get banned in the first place then..
They are tied to your account, cd or not. One use only. FINAL DESTINATION!
There's no way of getting round it. The games you owned were unique to that account and you will have to buy them again.
They are tied to your account, cd or not. One use only. FINAL DESTINATION!
so even if i delete them from my pc i still cant reinstall them. fuck sake steam. no theres too much money being wasted because some asshole embedded the steampowered website
so even if i delete them from my pc i still cant reinstall them. fuck sake steam. no theres too much money being wasted because some asshole embedded the steampowered website
What? If someone phished your account then you can just send a steam support ticket and they'll sort it, aslong as you can prove it's your account.
The games are tied to your account, not the computer. If you log on with another account you can't play unless that account has brought the game aswell.
so even if i delete them from my pc i still cant reinstall them. fuck sake steam. no theres too much money being wasted because some asshole embedded the steampowered website
No wonder you got your account disabled, you cant even grasp the concept of how steam accounts work in terms of game ownership.
some asshole embedded the steampowered website
what
OP doesn't make any sense
OP is so confused and mad it's hilarious.
What? If someone phished your account then you can just send a steam support ticket and they'll sort it, aslong as you can prove it's your account.
i did, and there was no response. i sent it 6 days ago but i used half life 2's cd key to prove it was my account since it was the first steam game i bought.
Send a ticket again
if you bought games for yourself on one account you cannot move them to another account.
