im making a half life 2 horror mod and im looking for modelers, scripters, and animators if you would like to volunteer just make a post below

Any reasons why we should join? lol - having nothing kind of interests no one. Except for the beginners who want to join anything to get started.
Outline your story or show us some of your maps before you try to recruit people. People won't care to join unless you show some effort of your own.
Show us a bit of your mapping, and give us a brief synopsis of the mod's story.
Also, if this is a horror mod, PLEASE don't let this be a zombie mod, or generic ghost mod, or psychological horror mod that uses ''psychological'' as an excuse to be 100% atmosphere but never actually does anything to keep the player's fear to a maximum (yes, jump scares). On the other hand, don't overdo jump scares because they're still cheap if they're the only source of anxiety in the entire mod.
Most importantly, make your story unique. Be careful not to write something like ''you wake up in bla bla bla no memory bla bla ZOMBIES AND GHOSTS bla bla bla SKELETON POPPED OUT bla ba'', your mod [B]will[/B] fail if the story is something like that. Just a heads up.
I doubt someone who can't even spell the word "scripter" is going to make for a particularly good writer.
kahgarak its not going to be anything like that its going to be a lot of atmosphere and zombies will occur rarely because obviously in a town you dont have 1 billion people to mow down. it will have atmosphere keeping tension and fear and when things do come out they wont particularly be pop ups. yes they will happen but they will mess with you more psychologically than just jumping out of your chair for a second. I did play amnesia a lot and i have been studying how it makes its horror good. and cone there is a difference between grammar and creativity you dont need good grammar skills to be a creative person.

no no no i am making this mod because it seems that horror has gone down the toilet and is now action with monsters that pop out of closets. and i kinda not the leader it was my idea yes but i like to see it as a full team effort

So if there's a character that says "my husband is now die, my revenge is begin", I'm just supposed to ignore that and focus on the tragedy before me because it's "creative"?
You'd best be on par with Lovecraft to make up for bad grammar, and I'm fairly certain someone like that wouldn't be writing for a Half-Life 2 horror mod.

I get the feeling his mod has zombies just for the sake of it being a horror mod.
Like Cone said, zombies are [I]extremely[/I] overdone.
sparkie1j, I suggest being a little more creative with your enemies.
Try making stuff that isn't directly scary, but instead unsettles purely with its bizarre (almost Lovecraftian) appearance.
Here's a self-drawn example, laughably poorly drawn, but it gets the point across:

I could kind of see this giant thing lumbering towards me in a dark, nearly pitch-black hallway. Pipes run along the metal walls on both sides of me, the only light illuminating the hallway being this bright red alarm glowing in and out. I'd be hearing the screams of some tormented soul, somewhere distant, yet so close, and the heavy breathing of a horrible abomination about to murder me in cold blood.

He has all right to make a shitty map with a reason like that, of course, but he fails to realize that though you can make something exactly how you want it to be, it also has to be something that people would want to play. Clearly, he doesn't understand this.
Sparkie, if you want people to play your mod, first thing I'd do if I were you is VASTLY improve my mapping skills. Let's be realistic here, you're not a good mapper (yet?).
