• Overgrowth - Worth it?

So I've been following Wolfire's weekly updates for Overgrowth Alpha, and have been very impressed with what they've been doing with the game. Now the pre-order is quite expensive(£20) so I was wondering if anyone on here has already pre-ordered it and can vouch for it? My friend has it and he tells me it's great, and I've been wanting to buy it. It seems to be a greatly improved version of Lugaru, which was awesome. I say you should buy it
I bought it early on. I think its a great game. But i asked for a refund after awhile i guess its not my type of game. And yes i got my money back which is nice from the people i respect them. Also its coming around very nicely now.
Fuck it, I'm going for it. It's nearly Christmas anyhow, I can afford to treat myself. [editline]20th December 2010[/editline] wait, you can get a refund? Awesome. Definitely doing it now.
So, what exactly is Overgrowth?
So, what exactly is Overgrowth?
It's the sequel of Lugaru which is a game where you control a rabbit and fight other rabbits and wolves using fighting moves and melee weapons. It's pretty fun and can be hilarious with the ragdolls. Overgrowth main site So far, Overgrowth is only in Alpha but is developing pretty well. It is indeed great. I bought it when you got Overgrowth and NS2 for 40 bucks. Great deal. Overgrowth is really picking up in development. The fighting system is coming along and it feels great. What does feel as great is a wolf paw to the face. I actually made a thread on it a while back.
I pre-ordered when the bundle was on, but I forgot how to get my alpha D:
It's still in alpha so don't be expecting an 100% playable game yet, It's just fun for messing about in for a bit to me. But I can't wait for the finished product to be done.
I would buy it, except I have no idea if my PC would be able to run it. I can run tf2 on low settings, so I think I would be okay, but without any specs on the site, I can't know for sure. I love Lugaru, too. If it helps at all, I have 6 gb RAM, a pentium dual core 2.8 ghz processor, and an Intel G45/G53 Express chipset. Anyone that have the alpha know if that would work?
I feel compelled to buy this from just a few videos of that toolset. Looks to be the most user friendly and intuitive set of mod tools I've ever seen!

It does seem pretty computer-heavy, especially for an indie game, and I can't find any graphics settings.

looks incredibly shit and pointless
It's great.
Amazing.
