So what is your favourite level of all time on any game in the history of video games? Mine is the Library level on Halo.
Ps this isn't a parody thread I was just inspired by the other ones.
A. Library, really?
B. Mine is foul play in the chapter keep on dawn of war 2 chaos rising
Either the final level of Halo 1 or the one with the oracle and the flood in halo 1. Honestly I think it was the Library. That level actually scared me :v:
I remember playing a level on original doom (Doom II i think) with a massive circle with green shit on the floor, circle of -- can't remember. I used to be able to load it on hardest difficulty starting with only the pistol and run to get the shotgun and complete the entire level from scratch, good times :v:
The beginning levels of HL2. I love levels in an action game where you're in a city and no one is attacking you.
My favorite level is the the level in MGS3 when you have to kill or knockout that major dude with the blonde hair then drag him to the lockers with out getting caught. That was fun!
The last level of modern warfare with the truck and civilian cars flying trough the air and crap.
The first time I played it was pretty orgasmic.
The same for the Omaha beach level in medal of honour allied assault and the Island level in Halo 1.
Milkman Conspiracy from Psychonauts came first to mind. Or the one you're mini-sized on some boardgame, same game.

I disagree all the dam soldiers kept seeing me and then i had a to drag them all to the lockers!!
I always loved assaulting Nova Prospekt in HL2 with the antlions.

you know what i did. I just killed all of the soldiers and the scientists and left the major guy then killed him, and then dragged him to the lockers.
Highway 17 from Half-Life 2. It has such an incredible atmosphere.
More recently, I'd say the level in Uncharted 2 where the tank raids the village.

I found out that if you run up to the door to the "lab" first thing and wait for him to come out, you can tranquilize him and drag him to the lockers without getting seen, it only takes about 1 minute. It really beats following him around for 10 minutes or knocking out all the guards.
Also, my favorite level would have to be "Keyes" from Halo. I loved watching the Covenant get the shit kicked out of them by the Flood.
The suicide mission from Mass Effect 2. It was so intense the first time around.
The level in psyconauts when you play napoleon in some war game
The final castle of A Link to The Past.
Every level of Soul Reaver.
The Light temple of Soul Reaver 2 plus Janos' fortress.
The Yamato region of Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon.
The assault on Red Square in the original Call of Duty. You and a bunch of Russians charging headlong into machinegun fire, knowing retreat will only mean slaughter by their superior officers, set to epic music and concluding with you flanking and sniping the German defenders.
Also, Life of the Party in Thief 2. Particularly the first part, where you're running across the rooftops in the city, dodging guards and dropping in on random houses to steal their stuff.
Definitely gm_flatgrass or gm_construct, they're great maps and work for anything so I don't see why you can't nominate them.
In Duke Nukem 3d "Hollywood Holocaust" from the L.A. meltdown chapter thingy.
The zoo in Army Of Two: The 40th Day.
'Purple Heart Lane' in the first Brothers in Arms. So much atmosphere.
Spirit Temple - Zelda Ocarina Of Time
Grunty Industries - Banjo-Tooie
Stone Tower Temple - Zelda Majora's Mask
Can't decide which one of them.

Glad to see someone agrees with me. :3:
The last levels of Sonic Adventure 2 are the shit.
No, seriously.
Portal in general.
Pretty much all the levels in the asylum in physconauts, except for Gloria's theater.
Any train level. Think about it. Any video game level that takes place on a train is cool. Some memorable train levels:
Wario Land on the game boy
Uncharted 2
Goldeneye
Metal Slug 2 or 3 (I forget which game it's in)
Star Fox 64
Jets & Guns
That one map in Unreal Tournament
Train levels are always the shit
But actually my favorite level ever might have to be the zombie theme park, "Zoo of Hades" level from Jets & Guns. Soon as I read that intro, I knew it would be amazing.

MGS 4, the first time you fight the PMC Frogs in the house with that squad, and then the city level where you escape on a motorcycle, if I recall. Also all the boss battles.
Typically the last level of any action game. Because I stop caring about all the small badies and focus on defeating whatever final boss there is. Most games make me feel like a badass while doing it.
"All Ghillied Up" In Call of Duty 4 and any of the DC levels in MW2, pretty much any CoD campaign level
