1) Play the Demo until you have about 2 seconds left
2) With 2 seconds left, press start
3) Create a new online "Own the Lot" private game
4) Press the guide button and leave the guide up until you hear coach finish saying the crap about the demo being over
5) Close the guide then hit "A" to restart the demo
6) Now when you go outside the demo area, the static will appear for a second then disappear when you get outside
7) Enjoy! (By the way, if you go too far out, you'll fall into oblivion but respawn eventually)
Preparing for clocks...
Other than that though, this game looks quite fun. I thoroughly enjoyed Skate 2, so this can only be an improvement.
Side discussion:
Does anyone else feel like the physics got a little crappier from Skate 2 in the Skate 3 demo?
oh shit I'm gonna try this

Fucking yes, I do.
Can you go anywhere in an online game then?

Yeah, for some reason, the newer games play better while feeling horrendously worse. Which is a shame because I don't think I've clocked more time in any other game than the first skate in my life. Skate 2's probably in second. One thing they could work on is their shitty character customization. It always disappoints, it was decent in the first, and they tried to simplify it making everyone look generic.

I love the demo.
despite my name i couldn't get it working :saddowns:

I only played the demo of Skate 1 and I have Skate 2. Would you recommend I get the first?
Nah it's too late now that the third one will be out, the sequels really do make it better, but they make it feel clunky at the same time, like walking just felt wrong in skate 2, they fixed that with a patch and it got a little better, now they just made it where you're speedy fucking gonzalez in the new one.
Yeah I hated the walking in Skate 2, the walking and jumping in Skate 3 feel way smoother.

Also the glitch kind of sucks; whenever you bail you respawn back in the demo zone.

Nah, Skate 2 is pretty awesome, and I'm going to make the assumption that Skate 3 will just be an improvement. The walking, running, and jumping (essentially anything off-board) controls are way better in the third (at least in the demo.) Also, the Skate games are ones you can just pick up and jump right into, they don't have an intricate plot or anything, so it's not like you need to play them in order. The point I'm getting at is:
Get Skate 3

They don't want to give out unfair advertising, people need to pay to have their brand or line put in the game. However, it would be cool if they made up their own brands with intricate designs (though sometimes the simplistic designs look rather nice!)
