• PS3 Start-up Error

I was on MGS4 yesterday, and while trying to save the game by brother decided it would be a good idea to pull the console forward a bit more, so the charging wire wouldn't have to stretch as long. Upon doing this it shut down, whenever i started it up i just got a grey screen, whether using HDMI or AV. I restarted the PS3 in safe mode, thinking i had fixed the problem, but after completing the PS3 file restoration thing, it restarted and did it again saying the file was still corrupted. It kept doing it over and over so i decided the open the PS3 recovery menu and rebuild the database. But when trying to do this i was faced with a screen saying that they HDD could not be accessed. Please Facepunch, please do not confirm my suspicions. I have around 5 years of data on this thing.
Replace the hard drive.
Your hard drive is borked, probably. Contact Sony Customer Service and see what they can do about recovering your data since most likely the only part that's broken is the part where it connects with the processor and other components if your issues had to do with cords being unplugged.
Checked out the hard drive, still connected up and everything, turns out it was just corrupted entirely. Had to reset.
