What is the best way to digivolve easily to an ultimate in digimon world 1?

I have a birdramon but hes already 8 and i barely have his parameters to where they are supposed to be. I just started the game so I dont have H-Kabuterimon and Kabuterimon to help me in the gym. Will just keep training help me or is there something Im missing? And my tamer lvl is 0

That guide didnt exactly give me any tips on DIGIVOLVING it. Ive read countless guides but no help and thats why I am coming to facepunch

Go and see Tetsuo in the Digicave. If you bring him the ultor cell then he'll permanently digivolve one of your digimon for you.

Oh yeah, make sure you complete the Dark-Haired Trainer quest first or you might run into the noname glitch.
