Half Life through Half Life 2 history.

It's confusing.

I've never played Half Life, all i know is you're at Black Mesa and some alien/zombies come.

But i've played through Half Life 2, what are the combine? Where did they come from? Can someone link me to the Half Life lore, or write out a quick version of it for me?

If you play HL1 you wont know nothing new about the combine

Combine came after the xen war, has a war with earth, after 7 hours we give breen the earth to control, and play hl1

combine were never present in HL1 they introduced themseves while gordon was in stasis
