Impulse is pretty good but totally unnecessary - with have steam and it has matured to such a level, that there's really no reason for a clone of it.

Guy's stop fighting over things you don't understand, Stardock has said many times it like STEAM and doesn't go around putting dirt on it, Valve doesn't do anything to Stardock either.
It's called Capitalism, you fight for customers but don't go around dissing each other and alienate the populace.
Impulse lept from 2000 users at the start to 2 million in 1 year, it's getting popular and Stardock is well known for being epic devs who are always talking with people on the forums.

The developer of Battleship 3000AD (a company that has over 20 years of experience) says Impulse is on the bottom of the food chain taking all things considered. Say he wants a game to be sold, if he gets it on Impulse but not on steam, he's lost profit that he has to call it a failure. However, if it's Vice Versa the game would be a success as Steam is much MUCH versatile.
All the more reason to Boycott them, long live VALVe and steam!
