• Unity- Another Flash Killer?

http://unity3d.com/ First HTML5, and now this. Not much reason to stick to Flash anymore. Unity is a nice little engine that can create amazing games in a browser, or not. It's easier on the devs and the CPU, and it's free for people making free games. It includes full 3D support, and a built in physics engine. All of the features in the engine will run in a web browser with little problems. More and more indie devs are switching to Unity, like Flashbang Studios. Some notable examples include: Specter Spelunker Shrinks Paper Moon Off-road Velociraptor Safari EA and Cartoon network are also using Unity for some of their games now.
No, and this has been out for while, now. [editline]04:06PM[/editline] Unity is great, though. It's just not a flash killer. Flash and Unity are way different, and try to achieve different things. [editline]04:06PM[/editline] I'm actually working on a Unity game right now.
Nop, not a killer, at all. And it's old as shit.
Meh, I'll still be having a dev recruitment drive. [editline]11:24PM[/editline]
Nop, not a killer, at all. And it's old as shit.
Tech Demo of Unity 3. I'll just leave this here.

Flash works because it has TONS of apps and games, while unity has barely any. I know only one site with unity games and even then they got only some.
Come across a few games using this and it seems rather nice. But seen as everybody has Flash already, and it's mind-bogglingly easy to use, I don't think anything's going to take over for a while at least.
