I'm going to buy 1 game. My budget is $60. I was thinking of getting Splinter Cell: Conviction, but I thought I'd ask for facepunch's opinions. I think SC:C would be fun, as I loved the others, but I get discouraged when I read about how short the game is. I'm also considering grabbing the L4D pack, as it's only $49.99 at the moment for both, but I'm not sure. L4D1 & L4D2 would have more re-playability, being heavily multiplayer. I also enjoyed the free weekend of MW2, though I don't really feel like shelling out more money when they periodically release their expensive DLC. Below is a list of games that I've bought/played before/or am not interested in: Fallout 3 Oblivion S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat. TF2 Portal HL2 CounterStrike/CS:S Zeno Clash Will add more as I think of them. What does Facepunch recommend I buy?
One game? Nah! Get like 5. Altitude is $5 on Direct2Drive right now, Plain Sight and Booster Trooper look decent, but I haven't tried them. Then there's Madballs in Babo: Invasion, and AI War, which are good and cheap.
Buy the boost trooper 4 pack and get me and poster above a copy. :O

I think PS looks better, though.

Pre-order Starcraft 2 and you will get into the beta.
Pre-order Starcraft 2 and you will get into the beta.
As tempting as that is, I don't think I'll ever truly get in to the SC series. I tried the first a few years ago and it didn't grab me at all. SC2 seems really nice and I actually played the beta a bit on a friend's account, but after the initial bit of play, the wonder faded. I love the updated graphics and gameplay, but I just don't see myself playing enough to get better and enjoy it. Who knows though, I have considered pre-ordering it.
I was gonna post Splinter Cell and then I actually read the first post so that just helps even more, it's truly a great game, I loved all the Splinter Cells, including this one, it's just different, but in a good way. It's got a style that no other game has tried. A dark ominous type of action that isn't disgustingly gritty. I'm thinking about picking it up too, even though I already beat it on the 360, that's gotta say something. lol
Red Dead Redemption
Save it for "Red Dead Redemption" but if you can't wait, I'd say "Splinter Cell: Conviction".
get all the quake games.im seriou.you will love it.
Get Beat Hazard.
If your into RP try Fallout..Even if you just like shooting stuff...Elder scrolls is a different story
Please note, he said he didn't want Fallout 3 nor Oblivion. However, if you meant Fallout 1 & 2 or Elder Scrolls: Morrowind or something like that, then my bad.
Buy Mw2 you will not regrit it ;)
I regret it, a whole lot of other people does too.
Yeah, I regret buying MW2.
Yeah, I regret buying MW2.
So do i.
Eve Online and 3 or so months.
l4d1 and 2 really didn't have replayability for me, same levels each time, got boring after ~20-50 games
save it to upgrade your pc (:
Killing Floor
Mount and blade warband, buy it from the dev's webstore because the key also works for the original mount and blade. 2 games for 30$
I'd just save it to go out, I find playing games a lot of the time is boring. Too much of anything is boring I guess..
I'd buy the rockstar collection, tons of great games, and it is 50% off right now. (steam)
Buy Mw2 you will not regrit it ;)
You will "regrit" it, trust me. My opinion, get one (or both) of the Left 4 Dead games. I bought them last year and are still my most played games.
