Which games should I play - Games

I'm trying to make a list of games I really need to play, but of course I can't think of any. Now since I don't want to post a massive long list of games I have played & bore everyone, I'm just going to be as vague as possible: [B]So people of Facepunch, can you reccomend any games that must be played?[/B] Any game will do, just post the name of a game you think everyone has to play & I'll add it to my list.

Mass Effect because it's fun and the universe they made is great Supreme Commander and to a lesser extent 2 for the huge scale and giant robot bash-fests Sins of a Solar Empire for the even huger scale and giant space battleship bash-fests X3 for the ability to own a fleet and stations, giving you a freedom no other space freeroamer will Mount and Blade because it's a bit like jumping into a Total War game with the big army bash-fests Uplink for the action movie hacker gameplay, complete with "about to be rumbled" tension Darwinia for the strangely compelling story and "retro dreamworld" atmosphere Dwarf Fortress for the complex civilisation-building and hilarious ways to lose All I can really think of now. Maybe not absolute must plays but you can't go far wrong with them unless you dislike the genre or the learning curve puts you off or something.

I just played Metro 2033 and it's probably the most atmospheric game I've ever played.

Ive been making my way through Torchlight (diablo upgraded and badass) and Just Cause 2 (sandbox GTA).
