• Is there a way to rig my PC gamepad into working with an FPS?

So today my brand new Gamepad came in the mail today. So, yeah. It works FANTASTIC with any sidescroller (Such as Maplestory or Wonderking etc.) and Super Meat boy, but I tried to rig it up to play L4D and TF2, but it didn't work. It either aimed up, or aimed down, or I couldn't shoot etc. Could somebody help?
May I ask what kind of Gamepad you have?
Looks like you're gonna need some more dosh for a better gamepad. Edit: WOW GUYS I GUESS I'LL HAVE TO DO IT MYSELF GEEZE GOSH
Try a program called "X padder". I use it for some of my games and it has never let me down.
TF2 & L4D have native support for the X360 controller, try poking around in 360controller.cfg and then running it while in game.
http://www.fragtheplanet.com/808/emulate-an-xbox-360-controller/ pretty much this. This program emulates a 360 controller. Since 90% of games support xinput (for the 360 controller) what you can do is get this software to emulate a REAL controller and have it take the input from your non 360 controller. That way games like L4D and TF2 which already have key bindings setup for the 360 controller automatically work since the program maps the buttons back from your controller.
"exec 360controller" + Xpadder.
I have an Xbox360 gamepad for pc and I have the same situation with TF2. L4D2 and super meat boy works fine though.
