[Update 8/26/09] *Decided to make the German team into GRU soldiers. [media]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v250/nasakii/GRU.jpg[/media] *Kill Cam now has the "!" sound effect (suggested by: Yobdren) *Added eyepatches to all Snake models except sniper and rifleman. *Fixed a few bone weight problems with Snake's strap. *Decided not to have multiple snakes, (Big Boss, Solid, Old) and keep it just Big Boss team vs. GRU team. Just multiple skins instead of characters. More than one Big Boss? It can still be considered VR. [/update] I'm working on an MGS pack for Day of Defeat: Source. Video of what I have so far: [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ALGG1abqYQ[/media] The idea is that the maps you play are VR missions. This means that both historical and orange maps both fit in (at least in the MGS world.) This also means that all allied classes will be Snakes. [B][FIXED][/B]Snake is in-game but doesn't pass the consistency check yet. So far, the only way to see the model in-game is by watching previously recorded demos or by playing on servers with sv_consistency turned off.[B][/FIXED][/B] I finally got them in online games. I still need to make variations of models for different classes. Right now, there's only 2 different ones: The sniper and assault have a little less gear on them than the other classes. Also need to make different face materials (Big Boss and Old Snake.) Shouldn't be hard since I'd only have to model an eyepatch for Big Boss, and I could use the Brawl custom Old Snake skin for MGS4 Snake. I still need a few more sounds to finish up the sound pack. This MOD/Pack just started 2 days ago, so there's nothing for you to download just yet. Also, this is my first time doing anything mod-like or 3D in general. Since it's such a young project though, I'm open to suggestions, any help, and links to any tutorials you think might help me along. What I currently need to do (or might need help with): *A few certain sound bytes. *Anyone who can make custom HUDs. (If noone steps up, then I'll have to read those damned tutorials =S) *Model the eyepatches and convert the Old Snake SSBB textures. *An idea on what to do with the Axis. Do they need custom models? Should I use custom skins? Or maybe just keep them stock? *Sounds for the axis if I change them from German to anything else. *Change flag and capture textures. (Maybe Foxhound for the US and "!" for German team?) Interesting choice, I'd have probably modded something with more appropriate weapons, or modded the weapons too.

You could check the smashboards.
uh why don't you make the germans guards from the mgs games or something?

You should make this a mod instead. It could be like KGB vs GRU or something, and Snake could be in certain gamemodes or something. I wouldn't mind with some concept stuff if that interests you.
Would make more sence if you'd change the characters and weapons from Counter-Strike instead since that game takes place in a modern setting. But that's just my opinion.

Also, Snake should be in a gamemode where one person is randomly selected to be snake. Now the KGB and GRU have to worry about the enemy team and Snake.
