I'm sick of this. I'm am sick of it. I'm sick of it being that there hasn't been any game that just about hasn't been made before, I mean honestly? I can't think of one game that hasn't been made yet that I've gotten an idea for, or wasn't brought on by something else. Why can't we have something new and totally unique, and why is it that only violence will interest gamers!? I just don't know, maybe I'm frustrated but it's just gotten quite irritating.
Well, think up a game idea that'll sell well, would be innovative, and wouldn't be violent.

I find fictional violence entertaining. Games have fictional violence. They need my money and I need my daily dose of violence.

Guess it depends on how you look at it.
Get a DS if you're that interested in different game mechanics that don't have much violence
Just play some old games then go back to new games. Works like a charm for me.

I always liked games that are simple, 2 maybe 3 buttons that control everything.
There needs to be more games that offer player creativity. Ones like Wurm, Minecraft and even things like Spore: GA quest creator. At least make an MMO with more freedoms like Ultima Online.

If you can't think of something that hasn't been made you aren't thinking hard enough. There are plenty that haven't been made because of varying reason, one being technological constraints.

two words and some more: Dungeon Keeper without Molyneux hype. Lord knows we need more god-sims. the only ones we have are DK, B&W and Evil Genius... oh and Populous.
