Elemental is a fantasy 4X game that went into beta earlier today, and it's still possible to get into the beta, so long as you preorder before the end of the month. Many features ARE NOT in the beta yet. The current beta is to test if the engine and stuff runs on computers with no issues. Things that will be implemented in other beta phases: graphics, different combat, more spells, more research, more advanced economy, and family (you can marry off children and such). Holy shit, I've been trying to remember this forever. It's supposedly the spiritual successor to a classic game called [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master_of_Magic]Master of Magic[/url], been dying for a remake of it for so long.

Just a quick fyi. Since beta 1 doesn't really represent how the final game will be, you can preorder before a later beta comes out (ie beta 2, beta 3, etc) and get into that beta. The thing about stardock betas is they do pay attention to their forums ALOT. Users can suggest features or changes that will make it into the game. But yeah, you can preorder later and get into a later beta.

Seems neat, but the turn based part puts me off. I'm not really into turn based strategy games all that much.

Seems really cool, i'm not gonna get it though; saving my money.

I love turn based games like this, Gal Civ 2 forever!
