So, i tried the trial, after not playing since the release of TBC, and i found it very boring, and started playing
Private servers so I don't level slower than a fat kid with downs syndrome running a marathon.
Just wondering if its really worth it to pay2play.

im not that bad, when i used to play i had a level 54, and quit because i had better things to do
private servers are terrible
broken quests
broken bosses
broken items
broken mounts
broken everything
not to mention shitty donor gear that makes you so much more powerful than everyone else

Listen to the guy who got to level 13 and made a balanced view on the game.
The monthly fee really isn't the biggest issue. If you can't afford 13euros (or whatever) a month, then how did you get access to the internet? Through a library?

I usually hop on a Private Server to experiment with a class before I roll it on Regular WoW... Other than that, don't even play WoW if you're just going to play on Private Servers.
even then it's never worked right
i always roll a hunter, rogue, or shaman on private servers because i know how to play them.
pets don't work, offhand weapons never attack (if you can equip something there in the first place), skills glitch and if you decide to roll a rogue then don't, because every single server i've been on has had glitched trainers.

The only private servers that actually work are generally overcrowded, have miserable 2x rates and nothing to really make it different from real servers.

Honestly, it's pretty damn close. No donor gear, no voter gear, most raids work with blizzlike scripted bosses, all instances work, blizzlike with 10x rates. Not too fast, not too slow. 95% of spells work(If something doesn't work you report it and it GETS fixed). Yes, some quests are broken, you can't expect TOO much. Good for experimenting with classes. And yes i play retail so don't shit storm on me for playing one every once in a while.

if you can afford the monthly fee then yes you should play retail, i used to play privates and retail at the same time and i always found myself always going back to retail.

i said that the private server only now fixed a glitch with corruption that made it ridiculous nothing to do with blizz
Just RaF and get to 60 easily. The game is a cake walk from there.
