Anyone plays it, has a microphone and wants to play it with me over Ventrilo? We can co-op against AI at first if you're not too good (I'm not great personally) or play against each other and eventually team up against other players while strategizing over ventrilo. :3: Let me know. I don't care if you're a girl or a guy or how old you are, I just want to play the game with someone. ;_; No one on my friends' list has it. Add me on steam. (ID in my profile)
Does anybody still play this? I loved the game and I was considering trying to get it when I have the chance but I don't want to if nobody plays.
I totally forgot RUSE existed.
I play it, but I looked at the server browser and it's mostly really high-level people playing, so I'm holding off and playing the single player campaign for now. [editline]21st December 2010[/editline] One of the most underrated games to have been released recently.
Title should be in Caps Lock.
It would have helped if you explained what RUSE is.

Online, right now, one person. :v: [editline]21st December 2010[/editline] They should probably put it on sale or drop its price.

I was asking what the game is about, you made a thread with the game title, I'd at least except some content, rather than just "Does anyone else play this game?".
Shit thread, kill yourself.
TBH considering how few people actually play it it's probably not worth it putting effort into the OP. No one gives a fuck about this game. And if anybody [i]really[/i] cares to know what it's about, you can just you know, fucking check Wikipedia. It's a slow-paced WWII strategy game. Many reviewers and players hate it because it's not fast enough for them, so after complaining a little about how the AI is too good and it's too strategic they went back to playing Starcraft 2. Other than the building structures and sending infantry, tanks, anti-tanks, planes and such at the enemy, you have Ruses as your disposition. Radio silence for example, keeps the enemy from listening to your communications and thus read your orders. You may also send a spy to find hidden units, or even deploy decoys to mislead your opponent. the point your head [editline]21st December 2010[/editline] It's hard to compare the two even if they're both stategy games anyway, but the point is that some reviewers found that the game had "poor pacing" (and I swear this is how they put it) because it wasn't fast enough for them. I think they were completely missing the point of the game. In the end even though it starts off slow there's so much shit happening at once that it's hard to manage everything anyway (at least for me). And one of them took off points because the AI was too good for him, even though there are multiple difficulty levels.
You raff you R.U.S.E
I don't really enjoy strategy games. I prefer games where you look after yourself and only care about teammates if they're in danger or helping you.
[QUOTE=A B.A. Survivor;26868911]I don't really enjoy strategy games. You have England and France pushing the enemy's flanks while you try to destroy their HQ and can complete secondary objectives (more XP) by helping your allies in the last mission I played. You can easily play 1v1 too. Does that make it not a strategy game?

I want to buy the game, but it's still quite expensive :( the demo left me a good impression
The game was quite laggy and slow in the beta. Relatively high system-requirements didn't help with that either. I might get it in the future, when I'll get a better PC.
I quite like this game.
Game is dozens times better than in the beta. Much smoother, no connectivity issues. I just love it. It's the sort of RTS where the goal isn't to spam as many units as you can because that just doesn't work, you'll run out of money. It's the sort of game where you actually have to analyze what your opponents are doing and try to counter it intelligently while making use of scarce resources. I often find myself taking a break, zooming all the way out and just analyzing the battle field for 30 seconds before making my next move, just to observe what my enemy is doing and how to counter it efficiently.

Bamp
Oh Yeah. Finally someone
I'll play with you if you want. [editline]30th December 2010[/editline] I don't think it'll be easy organizing something. The time-zone differences aren't great.
On a related note. I think R.U.S.E's free DLC has just been released.
R.U.S.E. Looks awesome, I tried the beta with a friend of mine. It looked kinda cool but really complicated I couldn't really figure out what to do.
