Found this on the official forums, don't know if you've all seen it or not. Pretty cool to see how far WoW has come. Woah, 4 trinkets
it looks like a shitty asian grind game
Interesting..Glad it didn't end up looking this bad..but some things actually look interesting.
Very interesting, if real.
is real.
Somehow, the running in this video appears to be a lot faster (and a bit more natural since you hear your gear rattling when you make a step). Awesome to watch and compare things :v:
I prefer old WoW (video and pics), though with alot more different icons for weapons and whatnot.
They were definitely taking hints from other MMO's at the time.

yeah. 2001.
The UI is horrible D:
Looks pretty horrible. It seems like it was running on a whole different engine and stuff.
it was 2001 what do you expect
Ah I played that version... It was pretty awesome to be honest... Because alliance / horde could capture bases and set up camps, like a guild could set up a camp with their guild-graveyard, and tents to sleep in that works like inns, was pretty awesome but got removed because blizzard couldn't fix up all the exploits and bugs.. [editline]10:20AM[/editline] There was also WAY MORE interactions with npc's, pretty often you could see a bunch of footmans / grunts attacking cities / camps, they couldn't "win" the territory but the fights were pretty awesome
I think this is Lovely!

I'm pretty sure I remember seeing these WAY back when I was loosely following the development of WoW. I'm sure at the time I was :gizz:
Haha, this brings back some memories from when I was following WoW in like 2002.
it looks like a shitty asian grind game
Is it not?
Is it not?
Comparing WoW to the "proper" grind games and you'll see that WoW has very little grinding. But you play WAR and so therefore nothing I can say or do will ever change you from your blind WoW hating, so please go back to your dieing game that was meant to be a "WoW killer".
The engine looks exactly the same, this is probably build 1 and the current version is build 2
elwynn looks pretty nice in that one screen

There was a leak of one of those earlier builds with the base building. I sort of remember that UI but those screenshots are much older. Base building was loads of fun. This was before I knew what WOW was, someone just linked me to it and I tried it out. I never got to actually play with NPCs and other players tho, it was like a really shitty emulator.
So bad.
When blizzard cared about lore [editline]10:19AM[/editline]
Comparing WoW to the "proper" grind games and you'll see that WoW has very little grinding. Wow, that looked like a good game.
