So, today I was gonna buy a game on Steam. When I went to the checkout, I noticed my credit car details/adress/zip code were all saved. Now this bothered me, because I didn't see a button where you could clear your information. What if my account got hacked? The people could easily go on a shopping spree.
Do you guys know of any way to delete the information?
(Also, I know the details aren't saved on just my PC, I'm on a different PC now than I was when I bought my last item on Steam)
GO TO OPTIONS ACCOUNT PLACE AND PRESS SHOW ACCOUNTS HISTORY OR SOMTHING LIKE THAT AND THEN PRESS REMOVE/DELETE FROM RIGHT CORNER.
/caps.
I thought it doesn't save the credit card number
Last time I placed a order it asked me if I wanted to save my cc details to my account. You could of possibly selected or overlooked this feature.
settings > look on the bottom for "don't save credentials to account" and then do this

Well i werent sure about that so i posted way to delete card information.
There is no way someone can obtain your details from this, saving the credit card info etc is a local thing and will only save on your computer.

it's to the account not the computer.
Uh, I don't think it is. Try saving your details and then deleting ClientRegistry.blob in your steam folder. You shouldn't have saved details.

Pretty sure it's the computer. When I installed Steam on my laptop I had to enter the details again.
Exactly, you don't think valve would do something stupid like that, knowing how dumb 12 year olds can be with them phishing sites.
I had this happen to me. Someone keylogged my password, got into my account, and bought 500 bucks worth of games. Better not to save credentials.

Eh... no.
if they keylogged your password they abviously keylogged your credit card info too.
And as someone said above, the information is saved on your PC.

Not always.
What if I added my credit card info 2 months ago and I got a keylogger that logged my password yesterday?

Here's some ideas.
1. Don't download everything you see.
2. If this happens, contact steam ASAP.
3. Steam locks your account and deletes all new games if you purchase too much too fast.

Of course.

So I can't go on a shopping spree or they'll delete my games and lock my account?

I'm pretty sure they just lock your account for awhile if you purchase too much too fast, not delete anything.
If someone accessed your account with your credentials saved, they'd only be able to purchase Steam games. Your card number only shows the last 4 digits.

They just want to verify why the fuck you are buying so many games. It is very out-of-the-ordinary that someone goes on steam and buys 20 games.
I didn't think Steam did that, it doesn't for my details.
