There are like a Million games like it" I said "There probably isn't even 1 million different games in the world", So I came here to find out as Google came up with World of Warcraft reviews. How many commercial games do you think there are? So excluding flash games and stuff like that. What is your estimated number?

Anyway, there won't be anything like 1 million, but a fair few thousand at least. What your friend was using is a magical thing called Exaggeration - or hyperbole if you live in an essay. What he meant is that there are scores of other games like heavy rain.

I am guessing 10K+. If you count all the Freebey MMO's, Games that only exists in few parts of the world(Like Asia, and Eastern Europe)(I found some prietty unique games in Czech Republic and Serbia.
probably over a million if you count the megaman franchise
It all depends on how far you are willing to take the definition of "game", but if we stick with commercially produced video games, I'm sure that the number is in the hundreds of thousands already.
If you don't like current video games, make your own.
According to wikipedia, and if you add up every game released over every year, there are 15877 games.
Including announced games.
There's not a million games like Heavy Rain you dolt.
