Hello everybody! Today I went into my second hand game store and saw a copy of a game that I remembered fondly from my childhood, the game is Mega Lo Mania for the Mega Drive (Genesis for you american folk)... I saw it in a pristine condition with manual and cartridge and no costmetic damage and all for just £1, overwhelmed with excitment I bought it and took it home. I showed my dad what I had bought (also a keen gamer who was the one who originally purchased it all those years ago) and we opened the instruction manual and a slip of paper fell out with 3 password codes... My dad instantly recognised the hand writing. Turns out the copy I had bought was the same copy my dad had traded in 13 years ago :P. Anybody else have any intresting stories?
Holy shit.
I can't make sense of this D:
artifacts in games can refer to the graphics glitching out and imperfections are shown, such as spazzing out of models.

This reminds me of that story about the guy who put his wedding ring on a fish and let it go (Divorced) and then caught the fish like 10 years later.
I have a copy of Final Fantasy 1 Oh, and the original Oregon Trail game, plus an Apple II to play it on. I don't have photos though because I'm lazy.

I was riding my bike with my friend when I was like 13 looking through peoples discarded goods that they left on the side of the road and I found half-life platinum edition lying in the gutter.
Why the fuck would anyone throw that away? Don't know if you could call it artifacts but I got a nice bunch of Playstation games like the original Digimon World lying around here. Prices for this game are insane on the internet, or at least were when I looked for the last time. I also got a box full of SEGA Megadrive games including the original Sonic and Streets of Rage 2.

If you have an intrest in Strategy Games you should really check out Mega Lo Mania.
I still have a bunch of the original Play Station games sitting around.
I still have a bunch of the original Play Station games sitting around.
How much is a bunch?
How much is a bunch?
Maybe 20 of them. Give me a moment I'm gonna look for em.

Found a whole drawer full of old games. Makes me wonder what happened to my N64. These were the only games I found with the original packaging intact, all the others are bare naked CDs. The one in a middle is for the origial Play Station.
I had tons of those McDonalds game things for PS1. Like the Buzz Lightyear one, that shit was cash.
I have over 40 original Playstation games within arms reach of me right now. [editline]3rd July 2012[/editline] 10 Dreamcast games aswell.
Found some Sega Saturn games. There is still a lot of drawers full of these but I'm not in the mood to look for them right now. 5 years old, dad gets me box full of Nintendo 64 games from his friend for free. A few days later house burns down. Never got to play them all, only a few. I remember playing buck bumble and having no fucking idea what i was doing or how to play the game. Except i enjoyed the soundtrack.

Seriously though, my cousins gave me all of their old N64 games after their house caught on fire. They still have bits of ash and burning on the cartridges.

(I can't get it to patch properly on my computer. :suicide: )
I know have I have an Eyetoy for the PS2 laying somewhere around here :v:
I have a Gamecube, Xbox and PS1 + games for each. Not really artifacts, but still nice and hard to come by now.
Not gaming really. But i once bought an old Spider-Man #1 that had my fathers name written above the title. Turns out he'd sold it to keep us fed for a week. He got a small farm for it, even though it was the Danish first issue and therefore almost worthless. I was positively surprised. Still got my whole PS1 collection, but beyond that, there's not much here worth mentioning.
I still have the original, original copy of Quake.
