This is a simple question, really. I recently bought Mass effect on steam, and it isn't my type of game. Can I sell it to someone or something like that?
Nope, you can't get rid of games you got on steam, they are yours forever and ever and ever and ever. . .
No, you can't They are permanently tied to your steam account, and selling your steam account is against the Terms. Edit: FUCK NINJA'D

Selling it on eBay as a gift wouldn't work?
Selling it on eBay as a gift wouldn't work?
Can't gift games after you've bought them for yourself.
Because steam is part of the man!
that would be cool if Valve would let you give a bought game to a friend
You CAN give games away. But you have to buy them straight from the Steam store to your friend's account or you phail.
Actually you can try and contact steam support and tell them you screwed up with something and ment to click gift instead, then get someone to pay you and if they ask for who you meant to give it to just give them the account name and any details you can.

Valve does refunds but only as a one-time gesture. Personally I would keep Mass Effect, it's a great game.

There should be a One day game testing period, but for games like TF2, you could get only singleplayer available (So you cant play and return them).
