I remember a few months back, there was this fucking epic autoexec for the Orange Box Engine. It stunted the player speed, made the entire game realistic. Bloom was realistic, such as if you were in a dark area, things appear black, but as time progressed, you see better and better, to the point where it's perfect, but once you step outside, you're blinded by the brightness of the world. Colour correction was on it's all time high, setting the mood that Ep2 just didn't have on it's own. Such as growing darker in darker areas, in the sun it would be a faint orange or yellow to lift the mood, and when injured, it would (very) faintly tint itself red. Motion blur was enhanced and some weapon scripts were changed. The hud was removed and the weapons did more damage, but the ammo was scarce and the AI was improved. This wasn't a mod, this was one of the many autoexec's that tweaked the engine settings through console commands and cvars. The one I was referring to had most of these settings and adjustements, but intern made the game very processor heavy, as my old computer could barely handle it.
Overall, it made Ep2 better.
