Off center scans hurt my brain :smith:
Gamestop sucks
Gamestop sucks
this I hope those two Harvard students feel really accomplished from ripping of little kids who don't know any better for 30 years
we had this awesome franchise in florida called Rhino, you could trade in a few old games and get a new one, it was awesome. My brother use to work at their head quarters, so I got these awesome discounts when I was with him, bought a new game on the DS for like 69 cents. Then gamestop bought them.
GameStop is the shit, yo. At least, here in my town. We only have to video game stores, Game and Gamestop. Game is usually a lot more expensive than Gamestop (around 100-200 kronor more expensive), so Gamestop is great imo.
Took me a long time to read but it was interesting.
World's largest video-game retailer? Then where the fuck are all the stores
There are at least 4 gamestop stores in my town.
this I hope those two Harvard students feel really accomplished from ripping of little kids who don't know any better for 30 years
It's easy to rip Gamestop off too.
Their pre-order bonuses are getting ridiculous...
Their pre-order bonuses are getting ridiculous...
Just got my War Horse for RDD from best buy. :c00l:
Their pre-order bonuses are getting ridiculous...
PREORDER CALL OF DUTY 7 AND WE'LL BEAT IT FOR YOU, AND UNLOCK ALL THE WEAPONS. Pretty much.
They overprice their games. I'm not spending 40 dollars on a 20 dollar game, thank you very much.
It's easy to rip Gamestop off too.
Elaborate
The only good thing about gamestop is the game bonuses, such as exclusive skins, early content, early access to maps, etc. If all other stores had that i wouldn't bother with Gamestop. I hate it that poeple who buy their games from gamestop get acces to specific gamemodes in EG. BFBC2 or army of 2 a month earlier
Elaborate
I too would value this information.
I heard that they leave the manual inside the display cases of the PC games if they even have a PC section. So you could pop one of the cases open and take a pic of the key code inside on the manual. Not sure if it works cause I think it needs to bought before the key could work.

The Orange Box on Steam: 30 dollars The Orange Box at GameStop: 40 dollars :colbert:

Amazon is cheaper.
Fucking Gamestop. It sucks
Gamestop bought Assasin's Creed for three dollars from me half a year ago. A few weeks later, I saw a used copy of Assasin's Creed for $18. I would go somewhere else, but there are almost no other game stores here in San Diego.
The only time I go to Gamestop is if they have an exclusive item (the Big Boss PSP bundle coming in June) or if no other stores such as Best Buy have the item I want. I also hate them because they put their own fucking stickers all over the cases, sometimes on the inserts themselves, and it's a pain to remove them. For someone anal like me, I like my cases clean, not covered in stickers.
Elaborate
Almost all the stores leave the CD keys in the PC games Either rip it out or take a picture of it and enter it on Steam. The only person who loses anything in this is Gamestop because if a customer comes back with a non working key they will just replace it for them.
Almost all the stores leave the CD keys in the PC games
Every store I've been to except Gamestop has had empty cases on display, they usually keep CD keys with the CDs or under the counter. At least from my experience.
Gamestop has shit return policy. Only ever buy used games from gamestop. They are half the price and you have 7 days to return it for any reason.
Gamestop is alright, but I go to this Music store called Bullmoose that always has the lowest prices for CDs, games, etc. (at least retail-wise- I mean Amazon is sometimes cheaper but you know what I mean). Even on a game's release date, it costs $55 instead of the regular $60. Thing is though, they kinda suck with getting video games in on release date. They get everything else in on time except video games! But still, I love them! They have a buyers reward system so the more I buy, the more points I get, so the more I can save. The points allow you to basically pay for purchases, so it saves a lot of money. A lot of times, since I try to save up points for as long as possible, I can buy like 3 CDs and only have to pay for one because the points covered the cost of the other two! I like buying games here because of the guaranteed lower price and that it helps my points. Plus, I can trade in movies and games just like at Gamestop, so there's no point in me going there really. The only time I really buy from Gamestop is when I want the preorder goodies they so commonly have.
