• A question about the Splinter Cell series.

I've been playing-ish the Sinter Cell games since the original game came out. Then, I didnt really care and probably didn't play correctly. So I want to play through the series for serious now. I bought the original at Rasputin (San Francisco) for 2 dollars. And Now I'm playing it, having fun, good times. But now I'm getting pissed at the horrible innacuracy of the pistol. Whenever I try to take out a light, my crosshairs is directly on it and it wont go out 9/10 times. I'll have to unload like 6 bullets and by that time some fucking gaurd heard me. And other poor game development issues are pissing me off. So my question is, will I need to play the first game to understand the story? Or can I just go straight to Pandora Tomorrow?
Well, I'm playing Chaos Theory ATM and I don't see any story linking. I think you can go straight to Pandora Tommorow.

I always stopped playing 3/4 of the way through And I think Pandora or Chaos theory gives some plot points before you start the game, to catch you up.
Good, I'll always feel bad for not playing the original. But whatever. I can't even get past the first mission :( In stealth games I play like I cannot be fought, if I am I revert to last save.

I constantly quicksave, and if I get found/hurt/fall/almost anything I quickload.
Ndont mind it. I think stealth games are about trial and error anyway. And I think it's fun. But I do not enjoy dying, getting caught, or fucking up because of shitty game design.
Ah, I remember I used to get stuck alot in the original splinter cell. Chaos Theory seemed alot better in that regard. Also the pistol is pinpoint accurate, I always use it to headshot guards.
Not for me. I can hardly see it.
In Chaos Theory I mean.
Oh. Yeah, it's better in Chaos Theory. I'm sure it is in Pandora, can't remember though.
They all link to each other just not like "shit I've not been able to pick up this game what the fuck happened"
So they just hint at eachother.
