• The tale of the retarded hacker who really pissed me off.

:siren: IF THIS IS THE WRONG SECTION, DIRECT ME TO THE RIGHT ONE :siren: So yesterday, I was on steam as usuall, talking to friends and playing Tropico 3 god edition which I bought on the sale. At around 18:30 IL time I went to my regular tennis lesson, coming back home at around 19:50, and then I studied for my history test that was today. When I go back to steam at around 22:10, it tells me that I cannot log in as the account is logged in in another machine. I immediatly sent VALVe a support ticket, telling them the story. After around half an hour, I managed to slip into my account, and changed me passowrd. Luckily, the retarded hacker did not change email or password, or did anything bad to the account. By this point you are probably thinking "What does this whiney bitch want? The hacker didn't do anything". But then I noticed: He deleted ALL my friends. ONE HUNDRED PEOPLE. ALL GONE. So now I am trying to recover the loss, and I so far made it to two friends who used to be in my list, waiting for my IRL friends to log in and accept me. This isn't really a rant thread, just telling the story, and if anyone wants, I'll gladly accept friends invites. :3: It says my account is disabled. :suicide:
Shut the fuck up. People have had their accounts jacked and had there accounts made completely unusable. You got off lucky, and besides, it was probably one of your friends being a dick.
Phishing =/= hacking Your friend logging into your account =/= hacking Like ~ZOMG said. You got off lucky so stop crying and grow up.
I would be annoyed if all my friends were deleted, but it isn't a bad situation and only requires a little effort to fix.
This was the kind of comments I thought I'll get. Lets just get it straight: I am not complaining nor crying. It couldn't be one of my friends, because none of them know my password, nor log into my account. And it sure wasn't phishing, as I never logged my account to one of those sites.

It could have had a sense if you were asking for help recovering stuff, but as of now it has none
how are you so sure?
First of all, my friends aren't assholes. Quite the opposite in fact. And secondly, I had the hardest, most awesome password there ever was.
First of all, my friends aren't assholes. Quite the opposite in fact. And secondly, I had the hardest, most awesome password there ever was.
what was it?
what was it?
Ok, since I changed I can tell. The password was 'aWeSoMe'. :3:
are you joking
Why the hell would you want that many Steam friends?
I was on Steam as usuall too :downs:.
Did he delete all your hats on TF2? If not, you got off lucky.
To be honest, if all of my friends would get deleted from my friends list, I would be pissed off aswell, I pity you.
Did he delete all your hats on TF2? If not, you got off lucky.
Oshi- Off to check.
HEY OP HE ISN'T A HACKER, YOU GAVE OUT YOUR PASSWORD DURRRRRR Seriously, there is no such thing as a fucking hacking program that logs you in.
Is this one of those stupid ARG's? If it is, *sigh*
Is this one of those stupid ARG's? If it is, *sigh*
What the fuck? How could this be seen as an ARG? Jesus christ
Tell me this, did you really need all 100 of those people there? Or are you treating your friends list like a facebook account and using it as some sort of ego boosting pile of crap?
Tell me this, did you really need all 100 of those people there? Or are you treating your friends list like a facebook account and using it as some sort of ego boosting pile of crap?
I actually talk to most of them when I catch them online.
With a password like "aWeSoMe" you deserve to have your account broken into. People like are you are the ones who give tech support a hard time when they should be busy helping people with real problems
try putting numbers in your password. Like Dumbass127
Was telling us how a hacker who deleted all your friends really worth a thread? What do you expect us to discuss from this? (sorry if I'm being an ass, but) There's really nothing to discuss if you just tell us a story. Put it in one of the scammer megathreads.
worst password ever
what the fuck are you doing? instead of posting a thread on facepunch you should've downloaded avg free edition and ran a virus check.
Ok, now it says my account is disabled. FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU. Oh and Shounic, I have a paid version of kaspersky.
Ok, now it says my account is disabled. FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU. Oh and Shounic, I have a paid version of kaspersky.
:frog: Write a ticket to Steam Support?
If they're your friends, they'll notice you're missing and add you back. No problem.
