Half-Life Source and Half Life: Deathmatch Source download SLOW AS FUCK

So yesterday I got HL2 Ep 1, 2 and a couple of other games you don't give a shit about using my allowance, and I got HL Source, and the expansions for hl1 from a friend, but whenever I download HL Source and deathmatch, they download at less than 10 KB/S. More like 460 bytes/s.

Could anybody help me in this predicament?
