Hello guys. I'm really sorry if it's in the wrong area, or if I shouldn't ask this here, but I made a loooooong research on Google and here in the Forum before. Found nothing.
First of all, I hope you guys understand my side - I'm not from North America, I'm from Brazil, which difficult things a little for me, since I am 15 and my parents just don't allow me to buy any games, because they're not in our currency and they just don't want to spend time with this for me - so yes, I'm using a retail version of Portal.
So, I downloaded VHE and it works perfectly for CS 1.6 - which IS ORIGINAL, I bought it for R$40 (U$23.89). Althought, for Portal, I can't EVEN put the .fgd file in it - VHE crashes.
What should the cause be? Is it because it's a retail version?
Anyway, sorry if I made any "engrish" mistakes.
Thanks.
Please stop going on about how you're Brazillian.
It seems to me like you're using the GoldSource version of Hammer, how did you even think that Portal would work in it?

Well, I'm sorry if I don't know everything.
About saying in every post I'm from Brazil is to avoid jokes if I make any English mistakes. I don't keep saying that because I am proud, I actually hate the fact of living in here. Sorry if it hurts you in anyway.
It doesn't hurt me, it just seems like you're unnecessarily hammering in that fact, you won't be made fun of for making simple mistakes, we're not that bad a community. :v: And besides, your English is very good to me.
In any case, you'll find the Source version of Hammer in Steam, in the tools section of your library, under the name Source SDK.

Good to know.
Besides, I'm not that dumb, I've already tried downloading Source SDK, but that shit just keeps telling me that the "Steam servers are too busy to handle my request."
Well... looks like CS will be the only game I'll be allowed to map for.
Give it some time, you'll be able to download it eventually.

That's what I hope so. If mods want to, can close the topic.
Thanks.
