I shall finally buy Hl2 episode 2, mainly for the content (models, textures and so on).
What I wonder is: Is the content of episode 1 included? I dont want the maps, i just want the content
so i can use it in GMod for example.
There's not much content in EP1, besides I doubt it's included in EP2. The only things in it are the hospital props really.

Most mods only require EP2 to play anyways.
EP1 also has good combine props.
EP2 uses atleast the following content from EP1:
-Few map textures
-One or two door models
-Zombine textures
-Combine Advisor pod textures
-Few DOG animations
-Emergency flare
The last one pretty much proves that EP2 is HL2 stuff combined with EP1 stuff. It is in EP2, but you can't spawn it in Garry's Mod unless you have EP1.
Episode One still uses the HL2 base engine.
Episode Two uses the Orange Box engine.
(Of course both are Source)
