Im really bored of mc now. I bought it, kept playing after 4 or 5 months, got bored of it and got steam games. How can i get back into it? I tried making my own map but it failed.
Well, you could always join a server that uses some interesting plugins, like Jail or Factions. Try implementing some mods into singleplayer Minecraft, or set some new goals for yourself each time (e.g "beat the game without placing more then 50 blocks").

AMCO adds tons of mods which gives the game about 300+ hours because there will be so much to do try it!
Play Vech's Super Hostile maps. They are pretty hard, but they have goals and awesome dungeons where you have to go. It will be a completely new experience, but will cause ragequits because the maps are designed to kill you if you are not careful. I'm playing the Sunburn Islands and it's great!

This worked for me when i got bored of minecraft i just aimed to make amazing and beautiful structures , i failed the majority of the time but it was still fun and enjoyable and it certainly made me more entertained and interested by minecraft.
