I just received a scam mail. Here is what it says: Congratulations! Your world of Warcraft account (__________________)to receive compensation. This is Blizzard Entertainment's apology, We acknowledge a mistake, for you to lose the World of Warcraft account in order to recover our losses, We will give you 50000 gold coins free of charge and rare mounts (Dark Phoenix), I hope you can restart the game Login here to authentication, 48 hours you will receive compensation Description: test account and permanently disabled can not compensation Wow.....Bad grammar all the way through. And they expect me to believe that this is from Blizzard?
This IS from Blizzard. It's so clear!
Scammer mail is awesome.
Scam mail always gives me a hoot and a half. Scammers somehow got my email address for my battle.net account, so it got flooded with "log in here because you've been hacked/have been selected for free goldzzzz" emails so I changed the email, yet the old one still gets all the scammer spam. It makes me smile.
Seems legit :v:
I've seen worse.
I've seen worse.
It's obviously genuine. You should totally test account and permanently disabled can not compensation.
I get these things all the time.
what is this 2005?

I need to make a second account and attach an authenticator to it and actually reply to these scams with it.
This one's pretty good, nearly got me, even had Blizzard Entertainment as the email thing.
Greetings, Thank you for your attention in this matter regarding the compromised World of Warcraft account you are using. Unfortunately, multiple parties have contacted Blizzard Entertainment seeking restoration of the account in question. This message contains an updated Account Retrieval process, which will enable the rightful user of the account to resume their adventures in the World of Warcraft. The investigation will be continued by Blizzard administration to determine the action to be taken against your account. If your account is found violating the EULA and Terms of Use, your account can, and will be suspended/closed/or terminated. In order to keep this from occurring, you should immediately verify that you are the original owner of the account. To verify your identity please visit the following webpage: http://www.battle-accountsurvey.com Only Account Administration will be able to assist with account retrieval issues. Please help us to avoid any further delays in restoring Account access by following the instructions exactly and in their entirety. We will contact you again once all information has been received and thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation in resolving this account issue. Please be sure to provide all pertinent data as soon as possible since Blizzard Entertainment is unable to offer any type of reimbursement for the time an account is locked for verification and investigation purposes. In the meantime, please make sure to scan the computer system you are using to remove all viruses, Trojan files, and key loggers. I always used to reply back to these emails insulting them, but this seemed to enrage them since my account did actually get hacked. Blizzard fixed the problem within hours though, so it was no big deal.
I've seen horrible ones
i see nothing wrong with this
I still recieve Cataclyms beta invites :P
This one's pretty good, nearly got me, even had Blizzard Entertainment as the email thing.
I got several of these, and I almost fell for them as well. Clicked the link and was about to type in my information when I realized I didn't even play WoW. No damage done. Major reason I almost fell for it was that I had never visited that Battle site before.

I'm thinking these are japanese or chinese people, the same kind that sell gold, etc. that are stealing the accounts, and they don't speak english so their messages are translated really poorly.
I don't even understand what they tried to say.
I've gotten mail saying that i've been selected for Cataclysm beta. lol
