Well ever since the full release of Steam V4 came out, Steam has been freezing and crashing [u]every time[/u] I've exited a game. Before the whole new UI, it was running nice and smooth, and rarely crashed ever. Can someone please help me with this problem, because this gets really annoying.

Try just using the MRU list from right-clicking on the tray icon to launch your game as a workaround.

Ive had this aswell, when my steam friendslist reconnects my frame rate goes into unplayable FPS and never recovers. When someone messages me through Steam and the alert pops up in the lower right my frame rate drops by 10 for ever alert, so if i get multiple messages at once my games become unplayable until the messages fade.
I know Steam has something to do with the horrible frame rate Ive been having but Im unsure if its the whole problem.
