I mean you're on Xen in the Nihlanth's lair when the Gman comes to take you to away to happy land. Did Gman strip you when you were in stasis or something?
Yeah, he raped Gordon too, they just didn't show those parts.
It's a different suit, it's a newer model.
clearley kliner is gman lulz
It's a different suit, it's a newer model.
No It's not; Kleiner says it's his suit from Black Mesa.
My mistake, it was indeed a newer model; that's what I get for not playing HL2 for several years.
Well, he started on the train in civilian clothes, GMan probably took his suit and put it somewhere where Kleiner would find it.
It's a different suit, it's a newer model.
Yeah it looks way better, especially the gloves
Gman probably sent it to kleiner.
My question is, where did he get the more advanced Mark V model?
My question is, where did he get the more advanced Mark V model?
He made it?
According to you, who built the teleporter? If Kleiner is able to do that, he should be able to make a new suit as well.

The teleporter is made out of salvage though. The H.E.V. suit is looks to be factory made. Unless he has a molding machine specifically designed to make parts for H.E.V. suits, I don't think he's be able to come up with that kind of craftsmanship.
He took an old suit from the ruins of Black mesa and upgraded it somehow?
Too bad he didn't have the time to paint it with flames, add a green neon pipe, a stereo CD player and a loud exhaust pipe.
THAT would have been awesome.
there's more than one suit in hl1. Kleiner probably has a box of them laying around.
Then why leave Barney and Alyx (and to a lesser extent himself) in unnecessary danger?
Well, I agree. With everyone. Kleiner wouldn't have let Alyx, Barney, Vance, Mossman, and himself go without a suit if he had the means to produce them. However, the fact that Kleiner got the suit in the first place is a curiosity. We have seen (in Ep 2) that characters we thought to be pure ended up being pieces of shit (Eli Vance) without any prior notice. Maybe this is Valve's way of saying Kleiner was involved with GMan as well. I mean, if Eli was, Kleiner probably was too. ALSO, you would think GMan would have Gordon's best interests in mind. He is an investment, you know. So, the possibility of the suit being from him is a big one.

No he didn't.
In black mesa you had a mark 4 suit, in hl2 you have a mark 5.
He clearly got an old one, and upgraded it himself.
He even said so. He said he upgraded it to work with the combine energy outlets.

Maybe they don't know how to operate it. Who knows.
I think that Gman gave that suit to Eli who gave it to kleiner
Then why leave Barney and Alyx (and to a lesser extent himself) in unnecessary danger?
Because they don't have the proper training to use one?
I think Kleiner just found a new/prototype model... I mean, if he made it himself he probably wouldn't make a whole fucking documentation that he tries to read when you get the suit.
IMHO the most probable version is that Gman gave Eli the new/upgraded suit which he then gave to Kleiner OR Gman planted it somewhere for Kleiner to find.
Doesn't he say something like "I see your HEV suit still fit's you like a glove"? And then going on saying he's made a few modifications to his suit.

So either it's a spare that Gordon had in Black Mesa or it's some parallel universe.
If i was kliner i would have taken one when shit hit the resonance cascade machine.
But he probably nabbed one from black mesa when he had the chance.
Either he found one from black mesa or gman placed the old one somewhere where he would find it. Seems like something he would do to ensure Gordon's success.
Well, from what we know when Gordon went into stasis he still had his HEV suit, Gman said that he had earnt it. But when he returns in the train on HL2, he's not in it, though we don't know what he is wearing. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that GMan took it and place it in time where Kleiner would find it.
I would have put on one of those if I was Kleiner after the aliens arrived, he probably had a bunch of'em just in case.
I wonder why you're made to put it on anyway. You were going to just get teleported to Eli's, and when you eventually get there, he says you should get back into your lab coat. If Kleiner wanted the HEV suit to get to Eli, he could have teleported it without Gordon.

Huh, that's an excellent point. I never thought of that
So that's what that blood stain was from!
You know, this thread made me have an extremely unlikely theory.
I feel that what Gordon is seeing isn't real at all, and Gman might be behind it all. Maybe Gman is just training him for things to come. Maybe Gordon's in a coma somewhere, dreaming it all.
Yes, it's a very stupid idea. But hey, I've seen worse plot twists.

The "its a dream" is about as bad a cliche plot twist you can get.

Probably because Kleiner has the only suit, Gordon was supposed to lead the rebels to victory. All events after Black Mesa East, save Ravenholm were intended and expected by Kleiner and Eli, up until the destroying of the citadel.
When did Barney find the crowbar I never dropped?
When did Barney find the crowbar I never dropped?
Well for a start you drop it when you lose all your weapons
Gman was probably like "Rise and shine, Mr. Kleiner. GET UP AND TAKE THE DAMN SUIT."
