• Does anyone still play CS:S anymore?

I recently decided to reinstall CS:S and started to remember how I used to spend every damn weekend on it. I used to be totally obsessed with this game and had logged in at least 250 or more hours. Ahh, remembering how much endless hours of fun I had in zombie and hide and seek servers. But I was wondering if this beta would give it new life and I remember there being talk about a totally new CS coming out but that was a long time ago. So does anyone still play it and is this beta giving it any new life?
I think a lot of people still play it.
No everybody deserted it.
Lots of people still play it, and that won't change for years.
Well, the real question is does anyone still play VANILLA CSS anymore? I mean there's so many mods and shit, it's actually impossible to find a server that don't use ANY mod of any kind.
CS and CSS are at the top for today so what do you think? 30,632 80,870 Counter-Strike 28,170 82,107 Counter-Strike: Source 21,238 53,343 Call of Duty Black Ops - Multiplayer 19,280 28,502 Sid Meier's Civilization V 17,183 32,501 Football Manager 2011 15,850 22,816 Team Fortress 2 11,676 18,313 Left 4 Dead 2 11,663 42,805 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - Multiplayer 8,623 12,737 Battlefield: Bad Company 2 8,397 12,810 Fallout New Vegas Left is current (for this moment) and right is peak.
Well then, I was wrong for thinking otherwise. It surprising a game so old (by video game standards) is still so popular.
Well then, I was wrong for thinking otherwise. It surprising a game so old (by video game standards) is still so popular.
Those with servers and/or 'skills' refuse to vacate the game, pretty much - no matter what updates and modifications 'ruin' it.
Well then, I was wrong for thinking otherwise. It surprising a game so old (by video game standards) is still so popular.
CS:S practically made all the new "mod3rn tacticool fps`~~!!" games. Though I'd consider it a disowned relationship.
CS and CSS are at the top for today so what do you think?
CS has to be top because of all the fake servers that Valve won't do a damn thing about. :argh: I'll find two legitimate, non-redirected servers that are populated on a good day.

Football Manager 2011 is more played than TF2, wow
I don't know why, but I feel so happy that CS:S has more than twice as many players as MW2, and still more players than Blops, and the original CS reigns over every other multiplayer FPS.
When I get bored I do, but recently I have been play a bunch of 1.6.
Football Manager 2011 is more played than TF2, wow
It's a good and new game, 'tis why everyone is playing it.
I like to occasionally play WCS (Warcraft Source), it actually makes CSS fun.

I'm pretty sure that everyone plays Moder Fagfare or Blops, right now.

Why is there more people playing Football Manager than TF2? That's really sad.
Why is there more people playing Football Manager than TF2? That's really sad.
Apparently it's addictive.
Why is there more people playing Football Manager than TF2? That's really sad.
Maybe because more people enjoy football simulator than hat simulator?
I play it as regularly as the many other thousands. Plenty of mod-free servers too. I really hate servers that force one thousand downloads of sounds and skins you never even see or hear.
Why is there more people playing Football Manager than TF2? That's really sad.
No, TF2 turning into HF2 is sad. I stopped playing TF2 ever since mann.co store came out. It doesn't have the atmosphere anymore.
I'm sad that Blops on PC has a 100k player peak on release and Xbox had 4 million.
It's good to know that average PC gamer is slightly less retarded than average console player.
I play it a bit, It's got the most hours out of all my games though Bad Company 2 will over take it soon..
Obviously people still play Vanilla CSS, it's the most popular game on Steam. I play Vanilla CSS all the time. Though I play it less since I used to play it so often and of course it gets boring after a few years.
Many people still play it, and in my opinion its the best online FPS released to date. Of course CS 1.6 was fun but for some reason the way the game flows and the way grenades work doesn't seem to work as fluidly.
