Okay, so every time I join a server, I wait for the map and it takes about a minute and a half to get a single bar on the loading line. It is really hard on servers with quick changing maps, such as mini game servers, and gun game servers.
Now, I have a fine connection it seems. My Firefox pages load very quickly, videos buffer almost instantly, and I can download from garrysmod.org or FPS Banana they download understandably quickly. (This is dependable on the size of the file I am downloading, etc.)
I hope someone can help me soon, I am dying for a few rounds of mini games!
My mistake, downloading maps takes forever. I can launch I map I have in seconds.
Do a video stress test and post you FPS here.
You're going to want to be well in the hundreds for good FPS.
You can also try putting down your shaders and lowering detail in the
video tab or something.

Hell yeah it is.
You need at least 30 FPS to have a good time. I get around 45.
