Any good hl2 co op mods out there besides oc and synergy?

Just an ex synergy v10 player here wondering if there are any new co op mods being made for the hl2 series (hl2 - ep2) besides obsidian conflict which is really just all about custom campaigns and anime models now and has little to do with proper hl2 co op anymore
I havent played a good hl2 co op mod in a long time and I'm hoping theres some disconcerted synergy and obsidian players out there making there own mod, does anyone know of any?
I don't believe there are any other coop mods, but if you get really desperate you can use HL2 itself to host servers. Crashes a lot, though.
Why not just go back to Synergy? It works fine.
I don't think he means HL2 Coop, I think he means a source mod which is coop. Right?
yes I mean hl2 co op, the synergy development team fucked everything up with v11 and ever since then its been a shell of what it once was.
they made the game hugely unstable with there added on half assed checkpoints, lowered everyones spawn health to 60, with only one clip per gun and the game forgets you have certain guns (and suit charge) like the shotgun, 357 and crossbow, not to mention the horrendous car spawns in addition to disabling the ability to have a server with more than 10 people amongst many other issues with the npcs and the levels themselves.
basically v11 broke the mod, hence why I said ex v10 player in the description.
yeah synergy is shit now - practically unplayable in some parts
OC is really the only other one, afaik
and while the hl2 - ep2 campaigns are playabile in oc certain parts are someone broken and they said there not even going to do anything about it, let alone do anything to stop the rushers that ruin them
I said in a suggestion thread I created that was promptly closed that there should be a timer that counts down once you reach the end of a map in the hl2 campaings instead of switching to the next one right off to prevent rushing like in synergy and this is what I got from worfox

1. -As it is now, we don't give much of a shit about refining the hl2 campaigns, they are old, stale, and not worth the time, most people played the shit out of them already.
This may change, but as of now, custom maps/ campaigns are our top priority.
in obsidian once anyone reaches the end of the level it changes to the next one right there and then, meaning that an admin cant even identify whos rushing the map in the first place to get rid of them like in synergy, thats one of the major problems with it and there not going to do anything to fix it unless they have to when they make the move to steam in a few years.
yes YEARS it took them two years to go from 1.34 to 1.35 hence why I'm looking elsewhere for a new PROPER co op mod.
not to mention its not well known that you can disable bunny hopping in the mod so factor that in too with the already annoying rushers who insta change every map within about 30 seconds - 5 minutes when it should have taken far longer to go through just like in the regular game.
hell the epic strider battles at the end of hl2 are so broken that there both over in about 30 seconds and the only time it takes longer than that is when one of the triggers breaks.
The point of coop is to play with friends. Stop playing in random public servers with the retards, grab your friends, and go do campaign normally.
Obsidian Conflict was never about custom campaigns and anime models. The anime models are separate. If you cannot stand them so much, then you need some growing up to do.
As for OC, sure, there are plenty of things that need fixing. But it is great if you want co-op+fun. You can play all the HL2 campaigns, as well as custom ones.
Theres a Gamemode in garry'smod that emulates the Half-Life 2 campaign in full. I liked it quite a bit because there are often [B]LOTS[/B] of players for it. Sorta feels like you're raging through the entire campaign in an army. :buddy:

the dev team puts so much effort into putting together an update despite their previous leaders having left the team, forced to work with what they've got. they finally manage to get a good update out 2 years later and their mod is considered 'not proper.'

If you knew how to read, you would know that, if you don't download the anime player models, you don't see them.
Also, your illogical and misinformed idea of a proper mod is disturbing. Just because they don't release an update within days of on one another doesn't mean that it's an "improper" mod. This couldn't make any less sense. They put good work into their mod and have overcome many set backs, sorry they couldn't work faster.
If you can't stop coming up with misinformed and pointless complaints, start your own mod or just stop talking.

Keyfox you NEED to deal with the rushers by rigging up the end of level checkpoints like its done in synergy, disable bunnyhop by default on all the hl2 - ep2 campaings and remove the rocketlaunchers ammo from your inventory towards the end of hl2 so the strider battles work out as they should.
I know your running on low when it comes to a development team, but still the hl2 - ep2 campaings for a hl2 co op mod should be its bread and butter not the custom ones.
custom ones come second and these mods to them I would imagine would be time consuming to implement but simple none the less that would make all the difference.
after all I see maybe one server in a blue moon playing one of the hl2 - ep2 campaigns and its usually filled with rushing dicks and my gaming group is having trouble even getting 1 server to work right let alone play eveything perfectly like we did in synergy.
and thats all me and my friends and everyone in synergy v10 used to play (Hl2 in particular followed by ep2 and ep1 in a blue moon) and loved the hell out of it, the way it is now is like your negleting the most important part of it and the custom campaigns can only take you so far.
plus Neico's actions and attituted towards any ideas, suggestions and requests on your forums dont exactly inspire confidence in me that this mod will fill the gap of a good hl2 co op mod that all of xerocore gaming group are looking for hence this posting.

Why don't you just, you know, kick/ban rushers?
Just because there are gameplay issues doesn't mean it falls under the fault of the mod itself or the development team. Maybe it's just caused by stupid selfish players?

Then you're playing the wrong mod, OC is all about custom stuff.
because we dont have a server keyfox, nibbler is hog tied right now with money and even finding a server provider for your mod and [XC] headstub is having trouble figuring out how to even get his server working properly which I told him to ask you guys about.
and the map changes out of nowhere like I'm enjoying it and suddenly out of fucking nowhere the level changes because someone rushed it
and I cant even identify whos doing it because most servers have that bunny hopping thing enabled right off the bat and dont even know you can turn if off making it even more difficult to figure out whos the culprate is amongst a bunch of likeminded people who dont care about enjoying the campaigns
it just all adds up and makes the hl2 - ep2 levels unplayabile
thats why I'm so pissed its rigged up like that, those are two very basic things that should have been implemented from day one to prevent this from happening, synergy did both of those things right and I'm just shocked that wasnt one of the first things coppied with your mod.
all I'm asking is that those two things be put on your to do list.
I dont care if the ai glitches, if the graphics are screwed up I just want a timer implemented at the end of the hl2 - ep2 levels so I dont have the level change right out from underneath me and that the bunny hopping be disabled automatically for them so I can atleast enjoy some of the map before someone reaches the end considering how short some of those levels are.
and I dont mind the custom stuff I actually like some of it more so than the campaings I'm just saying as it is now half of your mod doesnt work because its rigged up that you cant even enjoy it if one person let alone most of the team (like it is now) rushes it

if you just want regular coop, i reccomend Modular Combat. RPG style elements and hella fun.
I'm not exactly sure how to do this but, you can use LogMeIn Hamachi to create a server and then connect to it in game. I don't know if it works for hl2 but, it works for portal though so I’m confident it works for all source games.
This isn't really a mod though. A drawback to this is you can't use custom content you can only play the vanilla campaign.

Nah Modular Combat is just a dm mod, nothing special or endearing for it for me Ive never been a fan of rpg's I just want to play through hl2 - ep2 with my friends in a hl2 co op mod thats rigged up in a way so that one rushing dickhead doesnt ruin it for everyone.
sven 1 was alright but it seems like a another version of obsidian minus the anime stuff.
