Hello facepunch! I'm popping in because the Narrator just sent me this video outlining some of his intentions for the new stanley parable game, and I thought you might care to see it. I know he loves you all very much for your support of the first game, and even though he SAYS this new game is for everyone, really he means just you.

Is this a remake, or a sequel? Because I never got around to the Stanley Parable and if this is a remake, I might wait on playing it.
If not, I'm installing it right now because holy fuck that was awesome.
I saw an article about the first one in PCGamer UK, gonna download it and try it out now
The actual mod is pretty basic seeing as how only one person was making the levels.
But as simple as it was, the concept of it and that voice actor made it amazing.
I hope that voice actor has been recognized by someone.
The voice actor kind of reminded me of Stephen Fry's portrayal of The Book in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy film.

do I smell an ARG? :tinfoil:
I loved the first one. Can't wait for the remake. Is it gonna be just the original but more pretty, or are there gonna be tons of new stuff/endings/etc?

I think this will be a Remake/Sequel from the looks of it, much like the Rebuild of Evangelion movies.

There is a ton of added content in this "requel".

haha I like "requel". Yes, though we've taken the basic structure and endings from the original, there's nothing that hasn't gone through a complete re-envisioning, in addition to a bunch of new stuff in general. At the moment it's looking like it'll be at least twice the length of the original.

That is exactly how I felt about that voice.
You are an amazing writer cakebread.
I just played this for the first time the other day and absolutely LOVED it.
Actually gonna go replay it now, BRB.
There are so many good things about this.

You must be mistaken, this video was created entirely by the Narrator
Since it's standalone, I assume it will be paid and this means I will buy it

I'd buy it too, but it's most likely going to be free. They're still using Valve's props and materials (at least, in the trailer they are), and probably haven't paid to licence the engine.
The voice will be having sex with my ears and the graphics will be having sex with my eyes.
I will play this.
Looks pretty awesome, can't wait
Played the first one and really enjoyed it.
Can't wait for this requel :3
Sweet! I was wondering if I should contact Cakebread and that narrator, Kevin Brighting or something like that to make my own sequel or requel because it seemed like there wouldn't be any, but I'm very glad to see there will be.
Apparently, from his website, a mobile version is also being developed. Honestly, I'm pretty excited for what Cakebre- I mean, The Narrator has in store for us. Also, three screenshots of the HD Remix are on here as well, for those who want to check them out.
Love this mod! Thanks for introducing it to me, the narrators voice is eargasmic.
Also, there will be hooker jokes
It's funny how you feel more intelligent after playing a game narrated by someone with a British accent.

Not if that particular person is either a chav or a Glaswegian v:v:v

No but Yorkshire and similar works just dandy. Stanley Parable to Dear Esther -- each such game makes you feel like you've gained a few IQ points just by listening.
I just played through the original. It's one of the best examples of an artistic game I've ever seen. I look forward to the remake.
