Recently finding out on steam that Portal 2 is to be released in march i think?
That's going to be AWESOME i admit but, what will they do after?
Maybe start development on Half-Life 2: Episode 3?

Or maybe, start a new series.

Their big titles will be released like Portal 2, Dota 2, HL2: Ep3, though they may release a surprise game in there somewhere (ala Alien Swarm). After that I predict a new title and L4D3 and they'll overhaul TF2's menu somewhere in this time.
l4d has repetitive gameplay. the most fun you get it talking to friends and joke about whats happening ingame.
i have no friends. i doubt l4d will get another sequel

Different characters, different location, new weapons, new infected and new gameplay elements allow for another L4D game.
After the release of Portal 2, they're going to release DOTA 2 and then possibly Episode 3.
Awesome new game that is not a sequel.

I think Valve said that'd never happen (at least that's what a friend told me).
To those of you saying Portal 3, Episode 3, or L4D3, everyone knows it isnt possible for valve to make a game with "3" in the title
