[release]Crytek UK has filed a new trademark registration for TimeSplitters: Future Perfect. The application was filed on April 26th 2010, Future Perfect was previously released on the Xbox, Gamecube and PlayStation 2 in 2005.
Superannuation assumes this could hint at a PC release for the title as it was the only major platform of the time which never saw the game released for it.
Crytek UK was originally Free Radical Design, the studio was acquired by Crytek in early 2009 after the company entered administration. The studio was originally working on TimeSplitters 4 before being acquired, the project is currently on hold.[/release]
They are pretty much re-releasing a game. This could be good news is so many ways.
Eh, would've liked a remake of TimeSplitters 2 more.
But hey, it's still TimeSplitters.
Cool, a remake would be grand.
With online stuff and all.
Fuck I'd get a new computer just for this.
Oh fuck yes, Timesplitters was awesome, just please add some new content instead of just making it a PC version.
TimeSplitter was the only FPS I enjoyed playing on console with a pad.
Seriously, this game is epic, I would buy it for sure if a remake is done.
Fucking awesome. Loved TS:FP
"You can't stop me now! Er, us.. well ME!! HAhahahaha!"
Oh fuck yes, Timesplitters was awesome, just please add some new content instead of just making it a PC version.
extra content would be nice, but i would buy the game if it was just a port
Oh god yes.
I sure hope it's not them just taking care of the franchise rights, but actually releasing something new.
Groovy, space man.
This post from another forum seems likely.
I think they would want to do a re-release before popping out TS4. It'll be a good reminder to their audience about the whole game's existence.
They are business people, they know what they're doing...testing to see if the market is still there while reminding them how awesome this 5 year old game is!
Updated TS3 on PC (and therefore with all those extra goodies that were not present on consoles, especially last gen)? Hell yes.
If they do remake it, I hope they bring back the guy who did all the previous soundtracks.
I'd love TimeSplitters on PC. I like when Cortez meets his past self. And I liked the beginning cutscene of level 5.

Future Perfect is a sequel...

With nearly unlimited space for the map maker.
With nearly unlimited map maker.
And huge player counts (afterall I doubt the graphics will be upgraded by much, meaning it will be extremely lightweight even for PCs back when it was released, even more so on today's PCs).

:fappery:
Future Perfect is a sequel...
What are you talking about? Timesplitters 1, timeplitters 2, Timesplitters future perfect.
I'd prefer Timesplitters 2, but TS:FP was a pretty good game as well, so: Awesome.
Future Perfect is a sequel...
Your point being?
Doesn't Crytek own the rights to BF3? I demand that. Crysis 2 and Time Splitters can fuck themselves, I want BF3.
Battlefield? If you mean that, no, DICE owns the rights.
Oh fuck yes, Timesplitters was awesome, just please add some new content instead of just making it a PC version.
Even if it was identical I'd still buy it just so I could play timesplitters again. The multiplayer would be epic on PC
Straight up remake or will they use Cryengine 3, because that would be sweet.
I knew about this back on may 2nd, But it could just be nothing

Star Wars Battlefront 3
Holy crap, this'll be awesome....if they do remake it that is.
Oh. Yeah. That'd be nice too.
