I love video game music, it's a crucial building block in creating the right atmosphere in every game.
It sets the tone for every occasion, from epic final boss battles all the way to those eerie almost foreboding moments of silence (the moment you actually notice the music stops is when you're in deep shit).
It's what pumps you up or just simmers you down.
For me playing video games is all just pressing buttons just to hear noise come out.

I've always been a big fan of MGS music. It's very emotional I think. But I also like the music for all the half life games. They're very recognizable and memorable.
Mercenaries 1 had some of the best music I'd ever heard in a game. Especially the awesomely climactic music during the Ace contracts.
