I just bought GTA IV to PC. I started playing and noticed that it lags when i am pressing a button on the keyboard. When holding down W it lags in about 0.5 seconds and then it goes smooth. When turning it lags in 0.5 seconds too.
I don't think it's my hardware's fault. I got a new computer recently. I would be happy for some help. :smile:

Wow okay. It's probably not your hardware. GTA 4 for PC wasn't ported very well. Just make sure you have all the patches and you've updated your drivers.

Really, do you even know anything about computers? Of course GTA 4 supports the 5000 series. It is most definitely not that. What seems to be happening with this person is strange. I tend to think it is his PSU not getting enough power to the components. If I was him, I would send everything back and get a better PSU the next time you order shit.
I can just say it doesnt lag because you press that button, it lags because the game renders something your view turns towards to see when you turn.
Try turning down textures?
Thats the only thing that lags my GTA4. Although it doesn't do that.. it just starts to fail loading textures.
