Crysis 2 is the upcoming game developed by Crytek and published by EA (don't worry Crytek won't let them shittify it any more.)
Crysis 2 is scheduled for a 2010 release but nothing is sure as of yet.
The main character is possibly a man named "Nomad" who was the main protagonist in the original but again nothing is sure. The game is set in New York City (how original) and Crytek promises that there will be a high amount of exploring and vertical gameplay (very tall buildings). Crytek has also implied that it will be invaded by Aliens but it is unsure as to whether the Koreans will make an appearance.
I have some screenies and I'll post them here, but don't expect many as I got them off Gamesradar who got a first look at the game, but only a small one.

There is going to be a new suit in the game, that is for sure. Crytek have ditched the switching between super powers mechanic and have traded that in for a small amount of constant powers that are upgradeable.

This nano suit looks a lot more buff than the one from the first game so it might be a super strength/heavy armour one.
It has been confirmed that it will be on the consoles, which means that the CryEngine 3 looks worse than the CryEngine 2.

You're dumb as shit. The consoles are getting a visual downgrade so that it will run, it doesn't affect PC at all. It's just more optimized. If you're going to make an official thread for a game, do it right.
I thought CE3 is actually better than CE2. It's just adapting to the appropriate settings on the consoles, but will still look good on PC.

I see it too.
The hell? I don't want to upgrade my suit like that. I'd rather have the original "mode swapping". With that you could be jumping into a Korean camp and punching out everyone one minute and then silently creeping into their midst and taking them out quietly the next.

CE3 will NOT look worse. If anything, it will only look better.
It's being ported from pc to console, not from console to pc.

The Nanosuit looks stupidly muscular. The old one was better.
I'll get this as long as Crytek realise how to optimise shit. Hopefully this will be better than just pretty graphics too, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
Hopefully we will finally get online AI and some decent modders. The assets are MADE for a I am legend / zombie mod.

Who said that? This is definitely what Cryengine 2 can look like, with a few updates n shit this should be no problem for real time use.

I would love a VTOL mission, if they make it a huge air battle which isn't as linear as the one in the original.

That game is just bad throughout though, so the driving sequences don't seem so bad.

It's not a fucking bandwagon if it's the minority who hate it. Look at the review scores and how the mainstream view Crysis: they all think it's 9/10 material.
Sure, there are bandwagons where people really can't describe why they hate a game, they just do because lots of people on the internet do (like the hate against the Halo series).
If you can actually justify why you hate a game, which is worryingly easy with Crysis, then it's not bandwagon riding.
