In a world left with no politicians, diplomats, or activists, only the Generals remain. It’s up to you to assume their roles, command of their forces, and put an end to global terrorism once and for all. All-out War Take control of three unique factions, competing for resources, building up your base of operation, and leading massive batteries of tanks, soldiers, and aircraft into battle. Uncanny Sense of Realism Frostbite 2 technology allows for visceral, visually stunning conflict at an epic scale. Incredibly detailed units and environments, dynamic physics, and exhilarating visual effects bring the battle to life in ways never before seen. This is the closest thing to real war without the consequences. New Ways to Dominate or Ally with your Friends Go beyond classic deathmatch with a selection of new multiplayer game modes, designed with both cooperative and competitive play in mind. Thrilling Campaign Command the war on terror in an electrifying single-player campaign. Experience the dramatic story from multiple perspectives—from heroic General to crazed terrorist—while engaging the enemy in pulse-pounding tactical combat. Ever-evolving Experience Enhance your game with an expanding array of downloadable content. From maps and units to factions, campaigns, and more, the fight against terrorism is deeper than ever. Graphics look good. Holding my hype until I see the mechanics though (sorry, after the last 2 C&C, I can't feel very excited unless I know it's not a dumbed down PoS).
I had a lot of fun playing Generals, I hope they don't fuck this up.
Generals 2 announced?! I almost shed a manly tear, man. Remember back in 2005 when I played this shit nonstop for 3 months. 3 MONTHS!! My prays to non-existant god have now been heard!
Frostbite 2. No mods and no mapping. "Ever-evolving Experience – Enhance your game with an expanding array of downloadable content. From maps and units to factions, campaigns, and more, the fight against terrorism is deeper than ever." aka DLC-Fest 2013 The more I look the darker it seems to get. Please dont disappoint BioWare.

I absolutely adored Generals, I can only hope they can create something on-par with the original, if not better. If it follows up from the original in terms of gameplay I will owe every cent I ever earn to Bioware.
http://www.gamespot.com/news/command-and-conquer-generals-2-coming-from-bioware-victory-6347422
At the Spike Video Game Awards, EA revealed that Victory Games is now BioWare Victory, and the studio's current project is Command & Conquer: Generals 2. As a result of the rebranding, the PC-exclusive game also qualifies as the new BioWare project that had been teased in the weeks leading up to the VGAs. The game has been given a 2013 release window.
Please be true. Please please please.
Please tell me you're just being sarcastic about how bad it could be, and they haven't actually said that.
Unfortunetly. I got it from the official site http://www.commandandconquer.com/en/games/bygameid/cncgenerals2 The thing that scares me the most though is the fact that it's on Frostbite 2. Known since BF3 to NOT support modding. and if there is no modding or map making for Generals 2 BioWare and EA will miss the mark by a mile. Mods and custom maps are what keep games and communities running 8 years after the game has been released, not DLC's.
Unfortunetly. I got it from the official site http://www.commandandconquer.com/en/games/bygameid/cncgenerals2
Shows how much stuff changed since the last proper C&C when they can say that openly and tout it as a feature (fairly priced, meaty DLC is perfectly fine, but being EA chances are it won't be). [editline]11th December 2011[/editline] Apparently the US got replaced by the EU:
Generals 2 is being developed by BioWare [1] The release is planned for sometime in 2013 [2] Pre-orders are being accepted for $59.99 (USD) [3] There will be three unique factions, only two of which are known at this time. The EU and GLA. The third faction is to be announced. [4] There will be downloadable content in the form of maps, units, factions, and campaigns [5] The game engine is Frostbite 2 [6] There will be base building and traditional RTS play [7] Generals 2 will feature a story/campaign mode [8]
Really been waiting for this. Hopefully it'll be as fun as the first.
It's recommended requirements consists of 4GB of RAM and 20GB of HDD Memory.

If it's PC-exclusive though, high requirements are good (means they are making serious shit).
It requires stereotypical voice acting for all factions in order for this to be Generals.
AK-47's FOR EVERYONE! I love how all the C&C General soundtracks on youtube are full of comments about Generals 2. Also third faction is China. The USA was pretty much negated from it's super power position at the end of Zero Hour.
It's PC-Exclusive.
Apparently yes. I'm not 100% convinced yet though. [editline]11th December 2011[/editline]
AK-47's FOR EVERYONE! Oh boy, I can't wait to see what they do to the Overlord. :v:
Generals 2? Never heard of it, all I see is Bioware making Mass Effect 3 and still no new C&C games being made.
Oh man. If this goes well, it'll be fucking amazing. Chances are though, with EA pushing deadlines, it's going to suck balls.
Generals 2? Never heard of it, all I see is Bioware making Mass Effect 3 and still no new C&C games being made.
It was announced at the Spike VGA.
It was announced at the Spike VGA.
No it wasn't Bioware just showed Mass Effect 3 stuff there was a rumour of a command and conquer game but that never appeared, I was hoping for a Red Alert 3 but no. (The joke here in case anyone is too blind to see is that I'm pretending Generals 2 doesn't exist as well as RA3 and C&C 4)
Somebody is butthurt because they don't consider Generals a C&C game.
its bioware prepare for inter-racial relationships between Rangers and Rebels and hot threesomes with Jarmen Kell, Col. Burton and Lotus.
its bioware prepare for inter-racial relationships between Rangers and Rebels and hot threesomes with Jarmen Kell, Col. Burton and Lotus.
Hot European on Chinese sex scenes and Terrorist-Overlord tank romance options.
its bioware prepare for inter-racial relationships between Rangers and Rebels and hot threesomes with Jarmen Kell, Col. Burton and Lotus.
Apparently Bioware is just a title and it's being made by Victory Games or some convoluted bullshit like that.
Need a bullet barrage? ECM tank, missiles won't get through! Jamming frequencies to maximum. They better record 2 minutes of audio per unit like generals had, definitely the most memorable part is knowing what all the units say/do.
I hope this will be as good as the original Generals. AND THAT IT WON'T BE LIKE C&C 4.
I hope this will be as good as the original Generals. AND THAT IT WON'T BE LIKE C&C 4.
That's suggesting that companies like BioWare and EA learn from their mistakes :v:

This is a drastic departure from BioWare’s usual style, Let's hope they can pull this off.
