• Fun Free MMO?

I play WoW and everything and I used to be a big Free MMO Gamer a long time ago and I miss it.. Does anyone know any Popular Free MMORPG's out there that are fun?
Allods is good.
That is what my friend mentioned. Thank you
Allods used to be good. Each update makes it more geared towards the cash shop.
The Cash Shop is a must now, after level 20 or so. The monsters are harder, and there's an item that you can buy that will Boost all your damage by 100% (Or more, if that item's level is higher) and Healing by 100% (Or more depending on its level) What's the point in playing now if people can more than double their damage and healing output via a cash shop item
Don't forget that you can double your exp gain, allowing you to still have less exp gain than before that huge update.
Try Runescape. Seriously. Runescape may have been better before, and it has a bad reputation, but it's probably the best free MMO around. The free part will sustain you long enough to decide if you want to keep playing, and if you want to you can get membership for as low as $2.50 a month. EDIT: I have quit by now yeah, but I had over 1000 hours clocked. I'm recommending it because from a new player standpoint its a great game to play.

i was going to start playing runescape finally after listening to a bunch of twelve year olds fag-festing about it. then i saw that you can only do 20 quests for free before you have to pay for it. Its advertised as the Worlds largest free mmo but you still, inevitably, have to fucking pay a monthly fee. monthly fees are bullshit and i refuse. then before i started flaming i exited the browser and returned to softendo where i played mario. for free.
Fun - Free - MMO Pick two.
well Guild Wars is free month per month but it has an initial cost, Runescape turns into grindscape if you dont pay monthly. You could always get some friends and play DnD.
Fun - Free - MMO Pick two.
Jackass, Narrowminded, Trolling. Why don't you pick two Fear? This is obvious not what the OP is looking for, And infact I hate you people who come in these threads thinking you're all-knowing and that the OP won't be satisfied with free MMO's.
DDO. If you're willing to put some time into getting shit without paying, you can. [editline]10:24PM[/editline]
Fun - Free - MMO Pick two.
Can we make this dumb shit bannable or something? It pops up in every thread where someone even mentions the word "free".

Am I supposed to feel sorry for you or what? There's over 100 hours of free content in the game I'm sure. You don't have to make yourself look like a prissy little bitch, because believe it or not developers need money and when MMOs are giving you over 100 hours a month where the hell else are you going to get that kind of entertainment for TWO DOLLAR FITTEH.
If you aren't picky about graphics, there is an MMO called Anarchy Online which has a relatively steep learning curve, but is quite fun when you get into it. Also, the free part of it is huge, so there's lots to explore and such. :3:
Martial Empires is actually pretty awesome, great fucking graphics and they even have blur. The Gameplay is also nice, however its a bit grindy. The more funny type of grind. The effects are fucking cool as well.
Fun - Free - MMO Pick two.
someone ban this guy please im getting sick of the same shit every thread
Mabinogi, Vindictus(Not out yet but soon will be) Dungeon Fighter Online, Divine Souls(Soon to be out in Open Beta) Those games :]
Perfect World.
Metin2. It doesn't has such a big world, but hey, I had fun! Levelcap is 99.
LOTRO is going free to play soon and it's actually rather fantastic. Also www.realmofthemadgod.com is awesome.

After trying the majority of the "f2p mmo" shit out there, I'd have to say Martial Empires is near the top of my list. Lots of eye candy, great animations (not like the cheap shit in PW/Metin), tons of quests, interesting "chronicle of souls" system, etc. The grind is kinda slow, but I guess it doesn't matter too much since the highest-lvl person in the game atm is 4x (I think.) The community is rather small atm, but expect it to dramatically increase sometime in the near future.
Also www.realmofthemadgod.com is awesome.
I was hook'd for a week then got bored. But if you want to play then use this link: testing.realmofthemadgod.com
You were hooked for an entire week? Well fuck, I'm going to play again anyway because I'm that cool.
Uhm. Guildwars is decent if you don't mind paying a one time fee for the campaigns, you can get all 3 for 40 bucks with the Trilogy off of Steam, but that doesn't include the EoTN expansion. There's no monthly fee and I have about 900 hours logged onto it now.. Runescape is good for a while but then you run out of things to do and slowly grind skills that Members can grind alot faster. Most other MMO's I've seen either charge monthly or have some bullshit ingame store. Even if you did find a good free MMO, it would probably just get popular and turn into a cash cow some day.
Battle Of The Immortals Heroes Of Three Kingdoms Guild Wars - if you wanna pay an initial fee, its pretty cheap now that they've announced gw2 and and its been out for a long time now Dungeons & Dragons Online (DDO) Wonderking - if you like Side Scrollers
I've been playing Battle of the Immortals recently,it's quite fun and I never got a sense of "boring grind grind grind boring".There are consumable items that give you huge EXP bonuses that you can get every day(along with a helpful four hour buff)from an NPC if you're under level 60 or so and you get some once-a-day usage items that usually give you enough EXP to level up straight away just by using one when you reach level 45.Also,levelling is very speedy until around level 30 and still faster than most MMOs even after that. The pet system is cool, the mounts are nice and the gear looks effin' amazing when you get high-level.The cash shop has some pretty cool stuff, but not the kind of stuff REQUIRED to win. There are buff potions from there, but I don't think many people use them. Also,if you play, type this in the "induction ID" section when you make a character, please(it'll only work on the Abyss server since my main character's on that one).It gives you cool bonuses and sweet gear at the start and gives you more cool stuff over time and I get bonuses too: 1420113G050006053002804S2fb1ff Wait am I going to get banned for referral
try LOTRO it just went free and thy have a great deal of content for a free game
If it was still up... I would suggest Fishing Champ. (RIP 06-08) Hm... As for the LOTRO I regret uninstalling it too minutes ago... FUCKKKKKKKK.
