Melody's Escape is a 2D running game in which your music serves as the source for the level you want to play. Each level is generated using the song you choose. The obstacles are synchronized with the beat of the song, but there is also an emphasis on the longer held notes and other elements of the song, like vocals, string instruments and those wubwubs from your favorite dubstep track. One aim of the game is, that it wants to recreate the feeling of walking with headphones on, based on the song's "mood". If the song is faster it will be represented in the game by Melody beginning to jog, run or even fly. With smooth transitions to keep the flow of the song. The game is currently in an Alpha state, meaning that the core mechanics are working, but the graphics and animations are far away from being final. Other Features (of which some are not shown in the preview video): - Various difficulty modes, if you want to enjoy your music casually or with hardcore reflexes - Score and multiplier - Tons of eye-candy and particle effects - Online score leaderboards - Additional fine tunning of the music analysis algorithms - Dynamic flowing hairs for Melody - New backgrounds for each gameplay variation, with background animation based on the music Steam Greenlight Page (There are also some screenshots and videos there): http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=92913194 Developer's Blog: http://www.epsicode.net
I really like the look of this, but it's only getting 2% votes on the page.
2% isn't actually too bad, and more than most games have

Ugh, all these good games with 0-2% and Slender: Source had 11% the second day...
