So Mass Effect is on sale and I want to get it. The only problem is I've heard it doesn't work with Realtek soundcards, this might only be the case with pirated copies or something but I want to make sure. Anyone know for sure?
My card is a Realtek and the sound is rather buggy, everything is loud and whatnot. To fix it you just need to disable hardware sound acceleration on the windows control panel.
Yes my copy is legit.

I have Realtec soundcard and the game works fine. My Laptop has a Realtec soundcard and the game runs fine. My cousing has a realtec soundcard and the game runs fine. My neighbor has a realtec soundcard and the game doesn't run fine, because he has a Pentium III.
I guess I'll risk it. I must've heard this information about the pirated copy.

The pirated copy works well on said computers too. (Don't kill me, I bought the game, it was after that just for testing, please don't kill me. *whelps*)
