The Minecraft Showcase: The Anti-Aircraft Facility. - Games

Hello, comrades. What are you going to see is just something I built back in 2011 when I have had a lot of free time and Ubuntu as a main OS. This facility was a pure gem for me because it was my almost first serious structure made out of stones, stone bricks and other stuff like that. I also loved to put some "lol suomi" names on it because names from this language sound actually pretty deep for me. Vitsaus, Perseraiskaus ([img]http://puu.sh/N9y4[/img]) and other things like that. When I saw that again I almost shed a tear. It just started out as a little building with a few guns, now it is something worth of posting in any minecraft and military related places. It's a bit bland, and let us decide if it's worth posting and such, it's a bit arrogant to think that this is the shit, when you made it....

I like it. You do need a bit more variety in your buldings though, it's a lot of stone cubes. Not a fan of those textures either.

Just figured I'd point that out so you don't get crushed when someone tells you they don't think it's as great as you do, and don't get me wrong, it's cool, I just think it could use some more diversity.

That texture pack makes it look like it was made out of gravel...ew...otherwise it looks kinda cool

This looks cool! I must say the level of awesome that some people have when they make stuff like this, blows my mind. How long did it take to make and how many people took part in the building?

The entire facility, without flymod, done in four months in Minecraft Beta 1.7.3.

You need to break up the colour on the buildings more, right now it all kind of morphs into a big grey mess, I'd also suggest a nicer texture pack because painterly really doesn't seem to do it justice at all. Other than that it looks quite nice, not really enough modern minecraft builds compared to the medieval ones.

Its cool, someone can say that it looks like shit, but when you build something and look back and see this massive complex and what not. Its like wow I built this shit. Sure its not the prettiest looking thing but I think looks doesn't really matter that much, when I first started playing minecraft I built huge ugly castles but I was always happy and impressed when looking upon them. My recent project has been making a city, have spent a while working on it and compared to some of the cities you can see around its not much but it brings a smile to my face when I just look at it. Looks more like coastal artillery than AA.

So many grey, ambiguous shapes. It's not very impressive at all.
